Absolutely satisfied because of faculty and placements in 2024. Also pretty decent infrastructure.
Placements: I personally chose the CSE (AI and ML) course, as AI is our future, and this scope has more scope and more chances of getting a good salary job. My college's minimum package is 5 lakhs per annum, and the highest is 56 lakhs per annum. All reputed companies, such as Capgemini, Microsoft, Infosys, etc., visited to give job opportunities to students.
Infrastructure: The college has all the facilities that a student needs to excel in their education, such as Wi-Fi, a library, and digital classrooms. Each classroom has a projector and a mic connection. Every floor has Wi-Fi for uninterrupted internet connection for students to access information. The hostels are also very decent with all the facilities, such as Wi-Fi for every floor, and food is also pretty decent.
Faculty: The faculty here are qualified with at least 5 years of teaching experience and also well educated with good degrees. This is course relevant, and my college makes the students industry ready. The semester exams are not so hard that everyone can score good marks, and the pass percentage is 70%.
Other: I chose a particular course because AI is our future, and everything in the future is dependent on AI. Yearly, at least 4-5 events and fests are organized. The campus is surrounded with trees and plants.

Better facilities and opportunities compared to many other colleges.
Infrastructure: CMR Technical Campus has 500-capacity Girls' hostel and 500-capacity Boys' hostel with facilities like RO mineral water, laundry service, hot water, backup power, Wi-Fi, telivision room, first-aid, round-the-clock security, and many more. Application for admission to the hostel must be made in the prescribed form before the commencement of the academic session. Preference will be given to outstation students for allotment of hostel accommodation. Students shall provide two references, along with their addresses, one of which should be from a guardian. Students are permitted to meet their parents/guardians only in the lounge after obtaining permission from the warden. Visiting hours of the hostel are during weekends and holidays from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM. There are no visiting hours on working days. Students who seek admission to the hostel shall abide by the rules and regulations of the hostel as laid down by the management. He/She shall give an undertaking in writing, endorsed by the parents/guardian, that they will abide by the rules and regulations set forth from time to time. Hostel reserves the right to take any disciplinary action, including cancellation of hostel accommodation, for any violation of hostel rules and regulations. Any matters not covered by the above rules will be deal by the management.
Faculty: Exams at CMR College of Engineering and Technology (CMR CET) include midterms, end-semesters, and supplementary exams. CMR CET conducts two midterms for undergraduate programs, each worth 25 marks. The midterms consist of an objective paper, subjective paper, and assignment. The average of the two midterms is the final mid-mark. The university conducts the end-semester exam, which is worth 75 marks. CMR CET conducts supplementary exams for various semesters. For example, the 2024 supplementary exam notifications for B. Tech 8th and 7th semesters are scheduled for April.
Other: Campus life at CMR University in Bengaluru, India, includes a variety of activities, amenities, and opportunities for students, including. Campus has residential area with housing for students and staff. Hostels are spacious and aesthetically pleasing and offer single, double, triple, and four-sharing occupancy. Campus has academic space that encourages cross-disciplinary learning and interaction. Campus has an international-standard indoor sports complex, as well as separate grounds for cricket, athletics, and football. Campus has variety of space for cultural activities. The Office of Student Affairs (OSA) offers the LEAP programme, which provides students with opportunities for community building, leadership, and skill development.

My Review on CMR Technical Campus.
Placements: Approximately 70% of the students secure placements in each academic batch. The highest package offered by the college is 44 LPA, while the lowest is 4 LPA. Teach Mahindra and TCS are among the recruiting companies. About 45% of the students receive internship opportunities from the college.
Infrastructure: The faculty lacks qualifications and performs below average. The hostel's quality is satisfactory. The presence of a CMR hospital on the college premises ensures excellent medical facilities. However, sports facilities are subpar.
Faculty: The faculty's lecture quality is inadequate, especially in the CSE (AIML) course. The semesters are challenging for students due to the continuous pressure of exams, internals, and externals.
Other: I am passionate about artificial intelligence, which led me to choose this course. Despite some drawbacks, I am learning new things about web development and app development. There is a need to change the teaching faculty for third- and fourth-year students to enhance their future prospects.

Absolutely devastated by college faculty, average placements, good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: About 50 to 60 percent of students were placed, but the placement packages are very low, mostly 90 percent. Only a few students, approximately 1 to 2 percent, can get a bare minimum or high package. The top recruiting companies are Accenture, Capgemini, Amazon, Infosys, TCS, Mentor Graphics, Autodesk, etc. Top roles were in big companies like Amazon. The highest package was above 50 LPA; the lowest was 3-5 LPA. About 2-3% of students, or maybe less, will get internships in the college, as per my experience.
Infrastructure: We have spacious classrooms and labs with good Wi-Fi. We have a good and peaceful library with a good collection of books useful for students. When it comes to the hostel, the rooms were good and comfortable, but the food was really not healthy, and medical facilities were poor from CMR Hospital. They really don't solve many of the health issues, so students mostly prefer to go to private hospitals. Sports and games were never encouraged for students to play, even after college timings. Only those who participate in competitions have access to play, and only during that period, not on a daily basis for practice. The other students cannot play sports and games.
Faculty: Mostly, faculty were not good. They don't teach classes and try to waste them. Some are not knowledgeable, and some don't help students with their studies. Teaching was drastically bad. The curriculum was never relevant; they never teach the industry-ready skills we need, so we have to learn again by paying course fees. Exams are not really that difficult. If the faculty had played a good role in teaching and supporting, I think the student pass percentage could increase. The pass percentage was almost 50-60% in our college overall.
Other: I think mostly engineering colleges never focus on the overall development of a student. I chose this course because I love to use AI in space technology, as I'm fascinated by it from my childhood. Helping students in creating and pursuing projects should be changed by the management. Events and fests must be encouraged, rather than pushing students for marks. It is better to make them skilled. College is a place where students can mold themselves, so understanding their mental health is primary for any educational institution.

Average placements, Good infrastructure and Average faculty.
Placements: The placement record at this institution is mediocre, despite their claims about impressive packages and companies. However, upon entering the third and fourth years, it becomes evident that their statements are false. In the year 2023, only 33 students were placed throughout the entire campus, with the highest package received being 7 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college surpasses that of other colleges. We boast smart classrooms with comfortable benches and overall excellent facilities. Our hostels are also of high quality, offering good food and well-maintained infrastructure. However, the only drawback is the cost, as they charge around 1 Lakh per year, which some may find excessive.
Faculty: Only in first year you'll find good faculty while coming in 2nd and above years no one knows any concept they just come and go. We have to study by our selves from 2nd year, we have a problem of python faculty they just pick a random person from anywhere and tell them to teach python.
Other: The college fails to appreciate the value of your investment as the fees are exorbitant. Moreover, they do not hesitate to demand money from students for even the smallest things, including minor events.

Actually, Information technology and computer science and engineering is mostly the same. There would be a 10% difference in both of them in its good to do information technology in CMRTC but for your rank, you can try for more colleges which have a better ranking.
