Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET), is the entrance exam conducted to shortlist candidates for admission to BTech and BPharma programs offered by various colleges in Gujarat. The exam is conducted by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB). GUJCET is a state-level entrance examination. The allotment of seats is done based on scores obtained in the examination.

What's new in the GUJCET Exam?

As per the official announcement from the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board last year, two new changes were brought in GUJCET. They are as follows:

• Marks in subjects other than Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in class 12 will also be considered for preparing the GUJCET merit list.
• Out of the total seats in government colleges, 5 percent of seats will be filled through JEE Main 2025 score while the remaining 95 percent of seats will be filled through GUJCET 2025

The candidates must check the GUJCET 2025 eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. The application form of the candidate not fulfilling the eligibility criteria will be rejected. The various conditions of eligibility for GUJCET 2025 as per Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board are 

• The candidate must be an Indian and should have a Gujarat domicile.
• The candidates should have passed Class 12 or equivalent from a recognized board. Candidates applying 
• The candidate must have studied Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as the main subject for pharmacy.
• The candidate must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as the main subject for Engineering.
• Candidates should have scored 45% (40% for the reserved category) in Class 12.

The GUJCET application form 2025 has been released. The GUJCET 2025 registration last date is December 31, 2025. GUJCET Application form 2025 is available online on the website gseb.org and gujcet.gseb.org. The GUJCET 2025 application form has to be filled and submitted online by the candidates.

The application process of GUJCET 2025 includes registration, filling the form, uploading scanned images, and payment of application fees. Candidates have to first register and then they can fill the GUJCET form 2025. Subsequently, upload the required documents which includes scanned image of photo and signature and, pay the requisite fee online. Candidates who register within the specified dates will be issued GUJCET 2024 admit cards to appear in the exam. The step-by-step guide to fill GUJCET application form 2025 are:

• Registration: The candidates must register by entering their Email ID and mobile Number. Candidates also need to create a password of their choice which they have to use for future login
• Pay Application Fees: After registration, candidates need to pay the GUJCET application fees. The fee has to be paid online using a credit/debit card or internet banking.
• Filling the Application Form: Candidates can login using their Email ID or Mobile Number and the password created to open the application form.  The following steps should be followed to complete the application process. 
  • Complete the online fee payment.
  • Fill and save the application form: 
  • All the information asked in the application form must be filled.
  • Photo and signature of the candidate must be uploaded.
  • Submit the saved application form.
• Download and Take Printout: Once the application form is filled, candidates should download and take its printout as it will be required at the time of counsellig and admission process. Candidates must keep the printout safe.

GUJCET Application Form Correction 2025

The facility for application form correction will be provided after the completion of the application process. All registered candidates who wish to make any changes to their filled application form will be allowed to do so during the application correction window. The GSEB has released details of GUJCET 2025 syllabus on the website and the same can be checked here. GUJCET syllabus is based on Gujarat State Board Class 11 and Class 12 subjects. The GUJCET syllabus covers all the topics from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology taught in Class 11 and Class 12. Before taking the exam, students should thoroughly learn all the topics included in the GUJCET syllabus 2025. GUJCET Syllabus 2025

GUJCET 2025 exam pattern has been released by the GSEB board. The examination pattern details given below are based on the question papers from the previous years. The GUJCET 2025 exam pattern has been published on the official website and the same can be checked here. 

• The exam will be conducted online as a pen-paper based test.
• The total duration of the exam will be 3 hours.
• The question paper will be available in English, Gujarati and Hindi.
• The questions will be from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for the Engineering course. For the Pharmacy course, questions will be from Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
• The question paper will have a total of 120 multiple-choice questions, and 40 MCQs from each subject.
• Each correct answer will be given one mark, while 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Check GUJCET Syllabus and Exam Pattern: It is very important to first understand the syllabus and pattern of the exam. The GSEB will released GUJCET Admit Card 2025 in March third week. The GUJCET 2025 admit card download link will be available on the website. Candidates can download it using the link from the official website gujcet.gseb.org. The candidates will not receive any hard copy of the GUJCET admit card 2025 by post. The admit card will include the candidate's name, date of birth, question paper selection, test centre, date of exam and exam day guidelines. The candidates must carry the admit card to the examination hall.

GUJCET Exam Centres

The list of test centres for GUJCET 2025 will be published on the official website soon. The below list is based on the test centres allotted to the students for the GUJCET exam last year. A student can pick the centre from the list of 34 test centres.

The final GUJCET 2025 answer key PDF will be released by GSEB with a week of the conclusion f the exam. Candidates can download the answer key from official website gsebservice.com. The GSEB will first release the GUJCET provisional answer key 2025 which will also be open for raising objections. The facility to raise objections will be open for a weeks time. Candidates who wish to object to the GUJCET answer key 2025 have to email their objections along with all necessary information to gujcetkey@gmail.com. The GUJCET final answer key will be released by the exam authority following a review of all complaints. By referring to the final answer key, the candidates will be able to determine the total number of questions correctly answered and their approximate score. 

The GUJCET result 2025 will be declared in April. The GSEB will announce GUJCET result online on the official website gseb.org. To check their GUJCET result 2025, candidates need to enter their login credentials. Below are the instructions for checking the GUJCET results.

The Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) will conducting the GUJCET counselling 2025. Candidates with valid GUJCET 2025 scores can participate in GUJCET counselling for BTech admission. The seat will be allotted to a candidate based on the scores in GUJCET 2025 exam.
