GCET BArch Pattern 2024: Know Marking Scheme & Exam Duration

Yes. It is important for the candidates to be familiar with the GCET exam pattern to be well prepared for the entrance examination. Through the exam pattern, the candidates will be able to access information regarding how the examination will be held. The paper is divided into three sections - Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

As per the official GCET pattern, the candidates will have to answer a total of 225 multiple-choice questions. The paper is divided into three sections - Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Each section will have 75 questions, which will be objective in nature. Candidates will be required to select the correct answer from the four options available for each question. All of the questions have to be answered in the allotted duration. No extra time will be allotted to the candidates.

The authorities will conduct GCET in English language. No other language will be used to prepare the question paper of GCET. Candidates are advised to prepare themselves to attempt the examination is the official medium as prescribed by the authorities. In case of any problems during the examination, the candidates are requested to seek assistance from the invigilators present in the exam centre. Since the examination is an OMR-based test, the candidates will have to read the question and mark the correct answer out of the available options.

The official marking scheme of GCET will be prepared and released by the authorities. For every correct response, the candidates will be allotted one mark. The authorities will not deduct any marks for incorrect answers. Unattempted questions will also not be marked negatively. Since there is no negative marking, the candidates are advised to attempt all questions in GCET to raise their chances of scoring well in the entrance examination.

The candidates will have to attempt 75 objective multiple-choice questions in each section within the duration allotted by the authorities. No extra time will be provided to the candidates. The candidates will have to attempt as many questions as they can so that they have a higher chance of securing the required marks.

GCET paper will consist of objective multiple-choice questions. For every question, four options will be present, out of which the candidates will have to select the correct answer. While preparing the official GCET question paper, the authorities will refer to the syllabus and will take into consideration the topics of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The candidates will have to mark the correct answer in the OMR sheet by colouring the option. All questions have to be answered within the allotted duration.

Yes, the candidates are advised to refer to and study the entire GCET syllabus. Since the question paper will be prepared based on the GCET syllabus, the candidates should be familiar with it to ensure that they perform well in the entrance examination. By studying the entire syllabus, the candidates will be well prepared. However, the candidates can identify some important topics that are likely to have high weightage in the question paper and give more time to study it.
