Nationality:
- Candidates should be an Indian National
- Non-resident Indians holding Indian passport may also apply for seats reserved under NRI category.
- Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) /Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) cardholders are also considered eligible for admissions to seats under NRI Category.
- Foreign Nationals must apply to Govt. of India.
Valid score:
- Aspirants must have appeared and obtained valid score in GCET conducted for the year of admission. GCET score of the previous year/s is not considered valid.
- For Architecture, aspirant must have appeared and obtained valid score at NATA conducted by Council of Architecture.
Qualifying Examination & Minimum Marks:
- Candidates should have cleared the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination of the Goa Board or an examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, or any other examination equivalent to the H.S.S.C.examination of Goa Board.
- They must also have acquired the minimum percentage of marks in the specific subjects.
First Year B.E.:
- Aspirants should have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std.XIIth) examination of the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with English, Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with one of the following subjects Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Computer Science /Biology, and secured not less than 45% marks in the aggregate of subjects of Physics & Mathematics with one of the following subjects Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Computer Science/Biology. (40% for the applicants belonging to SC, ST and OBC only).
- Candidates should have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std.XIIth) examination of the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects and secured at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% aggregate marks for applicants belonging to SC/ST/OBC).
OR
- 10+3 Diploma (any stream) recognised by Central/State Governments with 50% aggregate marks.
OR
- International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling, with not less than 50% marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as compulsory subject of examination.
- Applicants scoring minimum 80/200 at NATA are eligible for admission to B.Arch.,provided NATA score is obtained by answering NATA exam before last date of submission of admission form.
Kashmiri Migrants only in Engineering Courses:
- The applicant should have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std.XIIth) examination or its equivalent examination with English, Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with one of the following subjects Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Computer Science/Biology and secured not less than 45% marks in the subjects of Physics & Mathematics with one of the following subjects Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Computer Science/Biology.
Diploma/B.Sc. Degree holder:
- Candidates who have passed Diploma in Engineering /B.Sc. Degree with Mathematics as a subject at Std XIIth , with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC), were eligible for admission to First Year of Engineering Degree Courses, subject to vacancies in First Year, after vacancies at Lateral Entry into Direct Second Year are exhausted.
- The merit list of such candidates are prepared on the basis of aggregate marks scored at qualifying exam.
Aspirants have to follow the below mentioned step to fill the GCET 2019 online application form:
Step 1: Candidates seeking admission are required to download and take a print out of GCET 2019 prospectus available on the official website of the Directorate of Technical Education. Candidates are also able to receive application form from the Application Reception centre.
Step 2: The prospectus will contain two different forms namely Application Form A and Form B along with Photo Admit card. They have to submit Application Form A and Photo Admit card to apply in the entrance exam (without late fee).Â
Step 3: The applicants have to fill their personal details in Application Form A and also select their centre preferences. Request for change of papers or centre will not entertained once the Admit card is issued to the candidates. Also, incomplete forms are not accepted by the institutes.
Step 4: Candidates have to submit the Application Form (A) in person at the notified application reception centre opted, along with a demand draft of INR 1500 drawn in the favour of Director of Technical Education payable at Panaji, Goa from any Scheduled Bank.
Step 5: The form has to be submitted along with Demand Draft, three passport size and self-attested photocopies of SSCE passing certificate and 12th standard passing or hall ticket (if appearing) IN PERSON at GCET application form receiving centres. The Admission Centre have given two location for the candidates to submit:
Ravindra Bhavan, Margao in South Goa District
Directorate of Technical Education, Porvorim in North Goa District
Students have to submit Application Form B only after the declaration of results. The receiving of Admission Form B will begin in the month of may (tentative)Â and candidates have to apply for more than one course. The candidate must carefully go through the prospectus before filling the application form.

GCET 2019 counselling process for document verification and seat allotment begins from May 17. Last date for candidates to submit the filled in applications for GCET counselling in person is May 24. GCET 2019 result was declared by the Directorate of Technical Education, Goa (DTE Goa) on May 11. Test takers can check their GCET result on the official website.
GCET 2019 was conducted on May 7 in offline mode. DTE Goa had released the application form for GCET 2019 on February 7. Interested candidates were able to fill GCET 2019 application form till February 12.  Â

Quick Overview of GCET
Goa Common Entrance Test (Goa CET) exam is a state level entrance test conducted by DTE Goa for admissions to professional degree courses like Engineering and Pharmacy offered by colleges in Goa. Please note that admissions to the degree course in Architecture are based on (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) NATA scores, while admission into Nursing and other allied courses which include BPT, BOT, BOpt, BScMIT, BScAT, BSc Nursing, offered by colleges in Goa are made through NEET UG. However, admission to these courses is governed by DTE Goa and the seat allotment of candidates to their choice of college and courses is done through GCET counselling process.Â
