GCET 2025 syllabus will be released online at the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Goa. The details regarding the subjects, topics and units that the candidates need to study will be available through the GCET syllabus 2025. Before commencing the preparation process, the candidates are advised to check the syllabus of GCET 2025 carefully so that they are aware of how to plan out their studies and secure the scores required for admission into the preferred courses and colleges. GCET syllabus will consist of topics from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The authorities also advise the candidates to check the official GCET 2025 exam pattern along with the syllabus. Q:   Which subjects do I have to study for GCET syllabus?

A:

As per the official GCET syllabus, the candidates will have to study topics and units from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. It is to be noted that the syllabus of GCET will be similar to the 12th standard qualifying entrance exam. The authorities will prepare the GCET question paper by referring to the official syllabus. Before and during the exam preparation, the candidates are advised to check the topics and units mentioned in the GCET syllabus carefully.

Candidates are advised to identify the important topics of GCET syllabus by doing some research. To understand which topics and units are expected to have a high weightage, the candidates can check the previous years' sample and question papers. In case a unit is constantly repeated in the papers, the candidates can assume that the unit is likely to be present in the upcoming question paper. However, the candidates are advised to study the entire syllabus so that they have a higher chance of securing good marks.

Q:   Do I have to study the entire GCET syllabus?

A:

Yes, the candidates are advised to refer to and study the entire GCET syllabus. Since the question paper will be prepared based on the GCET syllabus, the candidates should be familiar with it to ensure that they perform well in the entrance examination. By studying the entire syllabus, the candidates will be well prepared. However, the candidates can identify some important topics that are likely to have high weightage in the question paper and give more time to study it.

Q:   Where can I access the official GCET syllabus?

A:

GCET syllabus will be prepared and released by the authorities of the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Goa online at dte.goa.gov.in. No other mode will be used to declare the official GCET syllabus. The subjects, units and topics to be studied for the entrance examination will be released through the GCET syllabus. While preparing for the examination, the candidates are advised to check the official syllabus.

GCET 2025 Exam Pattern

DTE Goa will prepare and release the official GCET 2025 exam pattern online. Through the GCET exam pattern 2025, the candidates can check the details on how the examination will be conducted. Important details that will be present in the GCET exam pattern are the duration, mode, type of questions, number of questions, marking scheme and more. Candidates are advised to carefully study the exam pattern to be well prepared for GCET 2025. According to the GCET exam pattern, 2 hours will be allotted for every paper i.e., Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Q:   What is the duration of GCET?

A:

As per the official GCET exam pattern, the total duration of the entrance examination is 6 hours. Each paper will be 2 hours long in duration. The authorities will conduct the entrance examination in three papers - Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. In the allotted duration, the candidates will have to attempt 75 multiple-choice questions each. No extra time will be allotted to the candidates. Within the allotted time, the candidates are required to complete the examination.

Q:   What is the division of questions in the GCET paper?

A:

As per the official GCET pattern, the candidates will have to answer a total of 225 multiple-choice questions. The paper is divided into three sections - Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Each section will have 75 questions, which will be objective in nature. Candidates will be required to select the correct answer from the four options available for each question. All of the questions have to be answered in the allotted duration. No extra time will be allotted to the candidates.

Q:   What is the marking scheme of GCET?

A:

The official marking scheme of GCET will be prepared and released by the authorities. For every correct response, the candidates will be allotted one mark. The authorities will not deduct any marks for incorrect answers. Unattempted questions will also not be marked negatively. Since there is no negative marking, the candidates are advised to attempt all questions in GCET to raise their chances of scoring well in the entrance examination.

A:

While preparing for the entrance examination, the candidates are advised to study and give importance to certain topics from the GCET Chemistry syllabus. These important topics are likely to be present in the GCET question paper and have higher weightage. By studying these topics, the candidates have a higher chance of scoring well in the examination.
