HPCET 2025 syllabus will be released online at himtu.ac.in. Candidates will be able to check the list of subjects, units and topics that are important for the entrance examination through the HPCET syllabus 2025. Before commencing the preparation process, all candidates are advised to carefully check the syllabus of HPCET 2025 as it will help them to strategize their study plan and perform well in the examination. HPCET 2025 syllabus consists of topics from the 12th standard qualifying examination level Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Q:   When will HPCET 2025 be held?

A:

HPCET 2025 exam date has been announced. The authorities will conduct HPCET 2025 offline i.e., as a pen-and-paper-based test at various centres on May 10, 2025. The candidates will have to attempt and qualify the entrance exam to be eligible for BTech courses offered by the participating institutes. During the HPCET 2025 exam, the candidates will have to attempt objective multiple choice questions and the correct answer has to be selected from the available options.

Q:   Do I need to study the entire HPCET syllabus?

A:

Yes. Candidates are advised to refer to and study the entire HPCET syllabus, as prescribed by the authorities. Since the question paper will be prepared based on the official syllabus, the candidates are advised to be familiar with the prescribed syllabus of HPCET. However, the candidates can select and give more time to some of the important topics that are likely to present in the question paper and have a higher weightage. The list of important topics can be checked from the previous year papers.

Q:   Is HPCET syllabus important for the preparation process?

A:

Yes, HPCET syllabus is important for the preparation process. If the candidates are familiar with the syllabus beforehand, it will be easier for them to plan out their studies. Knowing the syllabus beforehand will also help the candidates prepare the timetable and divide the subjects and topics to study. Candidates are advised to check the syllabus carefully and prepare for the upcoming entrance examination.

Q:   Which subjects have to be prepared for HPCET BTech paper?

A:

For HPCET BTech paper, the candidates will have to attempt multiple-choice questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The topics and units to be studied for the exam are released through the HPCET syllabus. However, for BPharm/BPharm (Ayurveda), the candidates will have to attempt questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The details regarding the HPCET BTech paper is released through the exam pattern at the official website.

HPCET 2025 Exam Pattern

HPCET 2025 exam pattern will be released online. The details regarding how the authorities will conduct the examination can be checked through the HPCET exam pattern 2025. All candidates are advised to check the exam pattern of HPCET 2025 carefully to prepare for the examination. As per the HPCET exam pattern, the examination will be held as a pen-and-paper-based test. Other details that can be checked are the HPCET 2025 exam duration, sections, type of questions, marking scheme and more.

Q:   Will HPCET be held online?

A:

No. HPCET will be held offline i.e., as a pen-and-paper-based test. Candidates will have to report to their allotted centre and attempt the examination in offline mode. HPCET consists of multiple-choice questions that have to be attempted in 3 hours 15 minutes. All of the answers have to be marked in OMR sheets. The entrance examination will not be held in any other mode.

Q:   What is the marking scheme of HPCET?

A:

The marking scheme of HPCET is released online. Candidates are advised to check the marking scheme carefully to understand how their responses will be marked. For every correct answer, the authorities will award four marks to the candidates. However, one mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. Since there is negative marking, the candidates are advised to be careful while attempting the questions of HPCET.

Q:   What is the division of questions in the HPCET paper?

A:

HPCET paper will consist of three subjects - Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology. Each subject will have two sections i.e., Section A will have 20 questions while Section B will have 40 questions. In Section A, all 20 questions have to be compulsorily attempted, while 30 questions have to be attempted from Section B. A total of 150 objective multiple-choice questions have to be attempted within 3 hours 15 minutes. No extra time will allotted to the candidates to complete the entrance examination. All of the questions will be prepared as per the units and topics in the official HPCET syllabus.
