MET 2025 counselling dates will be announced online at counseling.manipal.edu. Qualified candidates will have to register for the MET counselling 2025 process for admission into the participating campuses. During the MET 2025 counselling registration process, the candidates will have to log in using the required credentials, pay the fee and fill out their choice of courses and campuses. It is to be noted that the selection of choices should be done in the order of preference. MET 2025 seat allotment result will be declared online. Allotment of seats will be done based on the candidate's MET 2025 rank, preferences, category and seat availability. Once the candidates are allotted, the candidates will have to confirm their admission before the final date. The authorities are expected to conduct five rounds of MET 2025 counselling. Q:   How many rounds of MET counselling will be held?

A:

As per the previous year trends, the authorities are expected to conduct five counselling rounds. Along with the five rounds of MET counselling, a intra-institute round is also expected to be held to select candidates for allotment of seats. For every round of counselling, the candidates will be able to select/edit their choices for allotment. Separate MET seat allotment results will be announced for every round.

Q:   Will MET counselling be held online?

A:

Yes. The authorities will conduct MET counselling process online. To be registered for the MET counselling, the candidates will have to log in using the required credentials. While filling out the online counselling form, the candidates will have to update their details, select their choice of colleges and courses and pay the fee. The authorities will also announce the MET seat allotment online. Candidates will be allotted as per their obtained rank, preferences and seat availability.

Q:   How are candidates allotted through MET counselling?

A:

Candidates will be able to check their individual MET seat allotment result online at counseling.manipal.edu. Allotment of seats will be done based on the candidate's obtained MET rank, preferences, category and seat availability. During the MET counselling process, the candidates will have to be careful in selecting their choice of courses and campuses as it will be considered for allotment. No other mode will be used to declare the MET seat allotment results.

MET 2025 Counselling Eligibility Criteria

Candidates are advised to check the official eligibility criteria before MET 2025 counselling registration. If the candidates do not meet the criteria, then the candidates will not be considered for admission. 

  • The candidate should have a valid MET 2025 rank.
  • Candidate should have passed in 10+2 / A-Level / International Baccalaureate (IB)/American High School Diploma or equivalent examination from a recognized board with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects.
  • Candidate should have minimum aggregate marks of 50 % in Physics, Mathematics and one of the optional subjects put together. In each of these subjects, candidates should have scored at least the minimum pass marks prescribed by the board.
  • Candidates who have appeared for 10+2 / A Level / IB / American High School Diploma or Equivalent board examination or are awaiting their results are also eligible for the counselling provided they fulfil the above criteria.

Q:   Can I apply for MET counselling with other examination scores?

A:

No. The authorities will not accept any other examination scores for MET counselling. All candidates will be assessed based on their scores secured in MET. To participate in the MET counselling and be eligible for admissions into the offered courses by the campuses, the candidates will have to attempt and qualify the entrance examination. Allotment of seats will be done based on the candidate's rank along with other factors such as order of preferences, category and seat availability.

Q:   How many minimum marks are required for MET admission?

A:

To participate in the MET admission process, the candidates should have passed 12th standard (or equivalent) qualifying entrance examination. All candidates are required to have secured a minimum aggregate marks of 50% in Physics, Mathematics and one of the optional subjects. Individually in each of these subjects, the candidates also have to secure the minimum pass marks as prescribed by the respective board. Only those candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will be considered during the MET counselling and seat allotment process.

Candidates should meet the basic eligibility criteria for MET counselling. All candidates are required to have a valid MET rank. MET 2025 Counselling Process

MET 2025 counselling process will be held online. To participate in the counselling process, the candidates can follow the given steps.

  • Step 1 - Registration: First, the candidates will have to visit the official website i.e., counseling.manipal.edu and click on the counselling link. To log in, the candidates will have to use their MET 2025 application form number and password. The profile has to be updated by the candidates with the required information. 
  • Step 2 - Payment of fee: After registration, the candidates will have to pay the MET 2025 counselling fee. To participate in the counselling fee, the candidates will have to pay INR 10,000 online i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. It is to be noted that the counselling fee will be adjusted with the tuition fee of the selected candidates. 
  • Step 3 - Choice filling: Next, the candidates will have to fill out their choice of campuses and courses. The selection of choices has to be done as per the preference of the candidates since it will be considered for seat allotment.
  • Step 4 - Seat Allotment: MET 2025 seat allotment will be announced online. To check their seat allotment, the candidates will have to log in using their required credentials. Candidates will be allotted as per their rank, preferences, category and seat availability. Separate seat allotment results will be announced for the different rounds of MET 2025 counselling.
  • Step 5 - Admission Confirmation: Finally, the allotted candidates will have to confirm their admission before the final date. The admission confirmation has to be done by paying the required fee and verifying their documents at the allotted campus. If the candidates fail to confirm their admission before the final date, then their allotment will be cancelled.

Q:   What is the MET counselling registration process?

A:

To participate in the MET counselling process, the candidates will have to complete the registration process before the final date. To be registered for MET counselling, the candidates will have to click on the registration link and log in using their application number and OTBS password. After checking the profile, the candidates will have to update it with the necessary information . Not much changes in the details can be made during the MET counselling registration process. Candidates will also have to select their choice of courses and campuses in the order of preference for allotment. Fresh registration and choice filling/editing will be allowed for every round of MET counselling.

A:

MET seat allotment result will be announced online at counseling.manipal.edu. No other mode will be used to declare the seat allotment of MET. Candidates will be able to check the MET seat allotment result by logging in using their application number and OTBS password. Through the seat allotment result, the candidates will be able to check the course and campus that they have been allotted to. The selected candidates will also be informed about the admission confirmation and fee payment process.

Q:   What is the MET counselling fee?

A:

All candidates will be required to pay a fee of INR 10,000 during the MET counselling process. The MET counselling fee has to be paid online i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. No other mode of payment will be accepted. If the candidates are not able to pay the counselling fee before the final date, then they will not be allowed to participate in the allotment and admission process. The allotted candidates will be able to adjust their counselling fee with their tuition fee.

List of documents required for verification during MET 2025 counselling

The selected candidates will be required to present the listed documents in original and photocopies at their allotted campuses for verification.

  • Printout of filled-in Common Registration Form downloaded from Counseling portal
  • MET 2025 Hall Ticket
  • Class 10th Standard marks card (for date of birth proof)
  • Class 12th Standard marks card issued by the recognized board
  • Parent/Guardian's PAN Card
  • 2 recent passport-size photographs
  • Authorization Letter (if the representative is attending on behalf of the candidate)
  • Copy of Overseas Citizen of India/ Person of Indian Origin Card (if applied under OCI/PIO category)

Note: In case, the candidates are unable to bring the original eligibility document, they can produce the internet copy of the marks card duly attested by the college principal. Qualification obtained from Boards established by (i) A Gazette Notification of the Central/State Government, (ii) An Act of the Central/State Government, (iii) Executive orders issued by the Central/State Government will only be considered.

Q:   Which documents are required during MET counselling?

A:

Candidates will be required to present various documents during the MET counselling to confirm their admission. The original documents along with photocopies have to be submitted at the allotted campuses before the final date for verification. Some of the important documents to be submitted are - MET hall ticket, MET rank card, a print out of the filled in MET counselling form, 10th and 12th standard mark sheets, two recent passport size photographs, identity card of the parents/guardians, etc.

Q:   I missed the last date for MET counselling document verification. What should I do?

A:

Candidates are advised to check the official dates for the document verification during the MET counselling process. After the final date, the authorities will not accept requests for document verification. Therefore, the allotment will automatically be cancelled by the authorities. In case, the candidates are not able to verify their documents, then they are advised to contact the authorities for further steps.

Q:   Are category certificates required for MET counselling document verification?

A:

Yes. Candidates who belong to the reserved or special categories will be required to produce their category certificates during the document verification process of MET counselling. If the candidates are unable to confirm their category by producing the certificates, then they will not be allowed to take admission into the respective category. The authorities will release the list of documents that will be required for verification.

MET 2025 Tuition Fees

For confirmation of admission, the candidates will be required to pay the tuition fee. The counselling fee will be adjusted with the tuition fee. It is to be noted that the candidates will be able to pay the MET 2025 tuition fee in two instalments. Failure to pay the fee before the final date will result in the cancellation of admission. 

  •  First Instalment - INR 2,40,000
  • Second Instalment - As per the selected course

Q:   I paid the first instalment of MET admission fee but forgot to pay the second instalment. What should I do?

A:

In case the candidates have paid the first instalment of MET admission fee but forgot to pay the second instalment before the final date, they are advised to immediately contact the authorities. Through the authorities, the candidates should understand the further steps to be taken. Candidates are advised to check the MET counselling dates to know when the schedule of fee payment so that they do not miss the deadline.

Q:   What is the MET admission fee?

A:

After the MET seat allotment, the selected candidates will have to confirm their admission. All of the allotted candidates will have to report to their respective institute and verify their documents for admission confirmation. Along with the document verification, the candidates will have to pay the first year tuition fee in two instalments. The first instalment is INR 2,40,000 and the second instalment will be as per the course selected. The required fee has to be paid online before the final date. A:

The authorities have not yet announced the MET 2025 class commencement date for the qualified candidates. The classes can expect to start a few weeks after the counselling and allotment process commences. The candidates will be able to check the official MET 2025 class commencement date online. The authorities will make the announcement and inform the selected candidates regarding the start of classes. All selected candidates will have to report to their allotted college on the specified dates for the commencement of classes.
