No, the TS PGECET exam does not have negative marking. Each question in the exam is worth one mark, and there is no penalty for incorrect answers. It is recommended that candidates answer all the questions in the exam and avoid leaving any questions unanswered, as there is no penalty for providing incorrect answers.

Multiple Choice questions are asked in the exam. The examination is conducted for a duration of 120 minutes. There will be a total of 120 questions asked in the exam. For every correct answer, one mark will be awarded. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers. Their cutoff score in TS PGECET is 120 marks. However, there is no cutoff score for reversed category students.

A: 

One mark will be awarded for each correct answer in TS PGECET. There will be 120 multiple-choice questions asked in the exam. The total marks for the exam are 120. The qualifying percentage of marks for the TS PGECET-2025 is 25% of the maximum marks (I. e. 30 marks). However, for candidates belonging to SC / ST, there is no minimum qualifying prescribed. Based on the marks secured the ranks will be issued.

TS PGECET 2025 Exam Pattern

TS PGECET 2025 will be conducted online, i.e., it will be a Computer-Based Test (CBT). The question paper will consist of 120 questions, each with four options, and candidates must choose the correct one. The exam will last 2 hours, or 120 minutes only.

TS PGECET Exam Pattern 2025: Marking Scheme

For every correct answer, one mark will be awarded i.e. the maximum marks of the question paper is 120 marks. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers. The cut-off mark in the TS PGECET is 30 marks. However, for SC/ST there are no minimum marks.

Q:   What is the level of TS PGECET exam?

A: 

TS PGECET, also known as the Telengana Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test is a post-graduate state-level entrance test conducted to offer admissions to M.Tech, M.Pharm, M.E, and M.Arch courses. The exam is conducted by the JNTU on behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE). Considering the last year's schedule, the admission for TS PGECET 2025 session will start in the first week of March, and the exam will be conducted in June 2025. Interested candidates can apply for the exam by visiting the official website. The TS PGECET 2025 exam is a computer-based test consisting of MCQs based on subject-specific topics.

The duration of the TS PGECET exam is 2 hours. The morning session of the exam will be conducted from 10 AM to 12 PM. The afternoon session was conducted from 2 PM to 4 PM. There will be 120 MCQs asked in the exam. It will be a computer based exam. For each correct option, candidates were given 1 mark. There will not be negative marking for wrong response.
