DRDO CEPTAM Pattern
Before, proceeding with the books, it is important to know the pattern of DRDO CEPTAM exam. The post-wise DRDO CEPTAM pattern is given below:
Exam Pattern for DRDO CEPTAM 10 DRTC
For the post of STA-B, DRDO CEPTAM exam pattern is divided into Tier-1 (Screening) and Tier-2 (Final Selection). Tier 1 is for screening and Tier 2 is for final selection. The Tier 1 of STA B post, carries objective type-multiple choice questions from Quantitative ability/aptitude, General Intelligence & Reasoning ability, General awareness, English language (basic knowledge), General science. The total marks allotted to Tier 1 are 120 and the test carries a total of 120 questions. The duration of Tier 1 is 90 minutes. Tier 2 carries 100 questions from the sections specific to the trade/discipline. The total marks allotted to the test are 100. The duration of the test is 90 minutes. For Tech A post, DRDO CEPTAM exam pattern 2022 is divided into Tier 1 (CBT) and Tier 2 (Trade Test). Tier 1 is divided into two sections A & B. Section A carries questions Quantitative Ability/Aptitude, General intelligence & Reasoning ability, General awareness, and English language (Basic Knowledge), and Section B comprises subjects specific to the trade. Section A carries 40 questions and section B carries 80 questions. The total marks allotted to Tier 1 is 120 and the duration of the test is 90 minutes. Tier 2 is trade test and it is qualifying in nature.
Exam Pattern for MTS
The exam pattern for MTS is divided into two tiers: I and II. Tier-I exam carries questions from General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability, General Awareness, and Quantitative Aptitude & Numerical Ability. Tier-II carries questions from General Science, General Math, and General English. There is no negative marking for wrong answers in the exam.
Exam Pattern for A&A post
DRDO CEPTAM exam pattern for A&A post is divided into two tiers: I and II. Tier-I is a computer-based test while Tier-II is a trade/skill/physical fitness and capability test as per the post. Tier-I comprises objective-type multiple-choice questions. The tier-I exam for Stenographer Grade-II (English Typing), Administrative Assistant ‘A’ (English Typing), Administrative Assistant ‘A’ (Hindi Typing), Store Assistant ‘A’ (English Typing), and Store Assistant ‘A’ (Hindi Typing) comprises questions from Quantitative ability/aptitude, General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability, General Awareness, General Science, Arithmetic & Numerical Ability, General English, Hindi or English Language. The exam for Security Assistant ‘A’, Clerk (Canteen Manager Grade-III), Asstt Halwai-cum Cook, Vehicle Operator ‘A’, Fire Engine Driver ‘A’ and Fireman comprises questions from Quantitative ability/aptitude, General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability, General Awareness, General Science, Arithmetic & Numerical Ability, General English and trade-specific subjects.
Pattern for Tech A
Tier-I exam is divided into two sections: A and B. Part A of the question paper comprises questions from Quantitative Ability/Aptitude, General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability, General Awareness, English Language (basic knowledge), General Science. Part B comprises questions specific to trade/discipline as per the post-code. The maximum mark allotted for this test is 150. The duration of the test is 120 minutes.

DRDO CEPTAM for Admin and Allied posts consists of Tier 1 and Tier 2 stages. The CBT in Tier 1 will have multiple choice based questions. The medium of CBT exam will be in both Hindi and English languages. Tier 1 exam is provisional in nature. Tier 2 exam will consist of Skill/Physical fitness and Capability Test, for applicable posts. DRDO CEPTAM for Technical Cadre (Senior Technical Assistant-B and Technician-A) consists of Tier 1 and Tier 2 stages. For Senior Technical Assistant-B (STA-B) post, the selection process will include Tier 1 (Screening) and Tier 2 (Final selection). For STA-B position, both Tier 1 and Tier 2 CBT exams will consist of objective type multiple choice-based questions. For Technician-A (Tech-A) post, the selection process will include Tier-1 (CBT) and Tier-2 (Trade Test) stages. The Tier-1 CBT for Tech-A post will include multiple choice-based questions.
