KCET Counselling 2025: Karnataka Examinations Authority will commence the KCET 2025 counselling online at the official website. Applicants can participate in KCET counselling at kea.kar.nic.in. Applicants shortlisted based on results will be eligible to participate in the KCET counselling 2025. The counselling process of KCET 2025 comprises registration, choice filling, seat allotment and document verification. KCET counselling will be conducted online only.  

Applicants first need to complete KCET counselling registration 2025 using personal details. After successful registration, applicants need to complete the KCET option entry 2025 using preferred choices of colleges and courses. KEA will release the KCET seat allotment result based on the choices filled by candidates. Candidates will be required to enter their CET number to check KCET seat allotment result 2025. Shortlisted candidates have to complete the KCET fee payment and physical reporting at the respective college. Q:   How is seat allotment done in KCET counselling?

A:

Karnataka Examinations Authority conducts the KCET counselling in online mode. Applicants have to complete the choice filling and locking after a successful registration. Candidates have to fill preferred choices of colleges and courses at the time of choice filling of KCET counselling 2025. KEA allots seats during the counselling process as per the choices filled by the candidates. After mock allotment, candidates are given chance to change their choice preference. After seat allotment results of KCET, candidates will be provided three options of freeze float and side.

Q:   I am not interested in the seat offered during KCET counselling. Can I still participate in further seat allotment rounds without accepting

A:

Yes, you can still participate in the KCET counselling further grounds even if they are allotted seats. Applicants allotted seats can opt for float or sliding option from the login. If you want to get a seat in the same college but a different course then you can choose the slides option. However, if applicants is looking for upgradation in the college allotted then they must float option. If candidates choose freeze option after seat allotment then there is no provisions to participate in the further grounds of counseling.

Q:   What is the total number of participating institutes for KCET counselling?

A:

There are around 250 colleges that offer admissions to engineering and architecture courses. There are both morning and evening shifts colleges. Applicants have to fill in the college and course choices at the time of KCET option entry facility. The admissions to architecture colleges will be done on the basis of NATA score 2025 while engineering admissions will be done on KCET 2025 score only. Some of the top colleges for admissions to engineering and architecture courses are given below.

Q:   How many rounds of KCET counselling will be held?

A:

KCET UGCET counseling is generally conducted in three grounds. KEA will first release the KCET mock seat allotment result after the conclusion of the choice-filling process. The first two grounds of KCET 2024 counseling will be conducted for birth general merit and Hyderabad Karnataka region candidates. However round 3 or round 2 extended will be conducted as per the availability of seats. Candidates have to complete the KCET counseling registration as per the schedule. Only successfully registered candidates will be allowed to participate in the KCET 2025 extended round counseling.

Q:   My parents names spellings are different in my 10th marks sheet and KCET application form, will this be an issue in the KCET counseling?

A:

Candidates appearing in the KCET 2025 counseling process are advised to have all the documents ready before the registration process. In case of any selling mistake in KCET application form 2025, candidates are advised to make an affidavit in the same regard. The name of the parents in the application form and all certificates should be the same. Karnataka Examinations Authority will not consider applicants with mistakes in the KCET 2025 application form for further admission process.

KCET Counselling 2025 – Detailed Procedure

KEA will conduct the KCET counselling in online mode. Candidates can refer to the KCET 2025 counselling process below.   

KCET Registration and Document Verification  

Candidates have to reach the KCET counselling venue along with the required documents. Applicants must carry the compulsory documents in their original along with two sets of photocopies. The authority concerned will check all the documents. If all the documents were found correct then the candidate will get a slip, which will have a unique id and password. 

KCET Choice Filling & Locking 2025  

After KCET document verification, the candidates will have to log in to their account using a unique id and password. After that, candidates will have to fill out their preference of college and course. A candidate shall be able to check the course-wise, category-wise and college-wise seat matrix at the time of choice filling. Candidates are advised to select their preferences carefully. However, a candidate can modify, add or delete the choices in every round of KCET 2025 counselling.  

KCET Seat Allotment 2025 

The seat allotment result of KCET 2025 will be released at the official website. Candidates have to log in to their accounts in order to download the KCET seat allotment letter. The seat allotment letter of KCET 2025 comprises information such as Allotted College, Reporting Date, etc.  

Reporting to the Allotted College  

In order to confirm admission, candidates need to report to the allotted college on the mentioned date and time. Candidates are advised to carry the other required documents along with the KCET counselling allotment letter to the college for the purpose of verification.

A:

Identity card issued by the Jurisdictional Deputy Commission or District Magistrate or Rehabilitation Commission for the candidates claiming eligibility for Government seats under Jammu & Kashmir Migrants quota.

Documents Required for KCET Counselling 2025

KEA will commence the KCET 2025 counselling at the official website. The following documents are required at the time of KCET document verification 2025:  

  • KCET application form 2025.   
  • KCET admit card 2025.  
  • KCET application fee payment proof.  
  • Class 10/SSLC mark sheet & certificate.  
  • Class 12/2nd PUC mark sheet & certificate.  
  • 7 years study certificate countersigned by the concerned BEO/DDPI.  
  • Recent passport size photograph (two copies).  
  • Income certificate.  
  • Rural study certificate.  
  • Caste certificate.  
  • Kannada medium certificate (Candidates who have studied in Kannada Medium from Class 1 to 10 in Karnataka and also outside the state of Karnataka.  
  • Parent’s study certificate/Parent’s Hometown certificate/Parent’s Domicile certificate/Parent’s Employment certificate/Parent’s Cumulative Record/Parent’s Marks Card, etc., for the candidates claiming eligibility for Government seats based on the domicile/study/employment of the parent.  
  • Identity card issued by the Jurisdictional Deputy Commissioner/District Magistrate/Rehabilitation Commissioner, for the candidates claiming eligibility for Government seats under Jammu & Kashmiri Migrants quota. 

Q:   How will I know if I have been allotted seat in KCET counselling?

A:

KCET 2025 seat allotment result will be released at the official website. After KCET seat allotment result, the candidate receives a confirmation email at the registered ID. Applicants are also informed through a registered mobile number. Applicants need to login using their user ID to download KCET 2024 seat allotment letter. Candidates allotted seat must report to the institute as per the date & time mentioned in the letter. It is necessary to pay the complete fee at the time of physical reporting.

Q:   What will happen if I don't pay the KCET seat confirmation fees?

A:

To accept a seat allotted at the time of KCET counselling it is compulsory to pay the confirmation fee. In case any candidate does not pay the seat confirmation fee till the last date the then allotted seat will be lost. Applicants cannot reclaim the allotted seat again after last of fee payment. Candidates are advised to keep track of all the date related to the KCET counselling 2024. The seat confirmation fee of KCET needs to be paid online. However complete fee has to be paid at the time of physical reporting at the allotted Institute.
