SBI SO Eligibility Criteria 2025
The eligibility criteria of SBI SO for various posts is given below:
System Officer (Test Engineer), System Officer (Web Developer, Executive (Test Engineer), Executive (Interaction Designer), Executive (Web Developer) and Executive (Portal Administrator: The maximum age limit for these posts is 32 years. The basic educational qualification is BE/BTech. Candidates must also have relevant work experience.
System Officer (Performance/Senior Automation Test Engineer), Senior Executive (Performance/ Automation Test Engineer), Senior Executive (Interaction Designer, Senior Executive (Project Manager): The maximum age limit for these posts is 35 years. The basic educational qualification is BE/BTech. Candidates must also have relevant work experience.
System Officer (Project Manager), Senior Special Executive (Project Manager): The maximum age limit for these posts is 38 years. The basic educational qualification is BE/BTech. Candidates must also have relevant work experience.
System Officer (Project Manager): The maximum age limit is 40 years. The educational qualification is BE/ BTech in (Computer Science/ Computer Science & Engineering/ Information Technology/ Software Engineering/ Electronics & Communications Engineering) or MCA or MTech/ MSc in (Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Electronic & Communications Engineering) or equivalent qualification from recognised University/ Institute. Minimum 10 years’ post basic qualification experience in IT Industry/ Business of which 5 years’ experience in Testing will be preferred.
Manager (Performance Planning & Review): The age of candidates should be 25 to 35 years. Candidates must be BCom/BE/BTech and PG in Management /
MBA or its equivalent from recognized university. Specialisation in Finance is preferred.
Assistant Manager (Network Security Specialist): The maximum age of candidates should be 40 years. Candidates must have passed Bachelor's degree in any stream with 60 per cent.
Assistant Manager (Routing & Switching): The maximum age of candidates should be 40 years. Candidates must have passed Bachelor's degree in any stream with 60 per cent from a recognised university.
Manager (Marketing): The maximum age of candidates should be 40 years. The educational qualification required for the post is MBA/PGDBM or equivalent with specialisations in Marketing/Finance. The minimum work experience required for this post is five years as an executive in supervisory/management role in the field of marketing of digital and other financial products in a scheduled commercial bank or public sector or listed financial institution/company.
Deputy Manager (Marketing): The maximum age limit for the exam is 35 years. The educational qualification required for the post is MBA/PGDBM or equivalent with specialisations in Marketing/Finance. The minimum work experience required for this post is two years as an executive in supervisory/management role in the field of marketing of digital and other financial products in a scheduled commercial bank or public sector or listed financial institution/company.
Chief Manager (Company Secretary), Manager (SME Products), Dy. Manager (Chartered Accountant) and Assistant Manager (Marketing & Communication): The age limit for Chief Manager (Company Secretary) is 45 years. The maximum age limit for Manager (SME Products) and Dy. Manager (Chartered Accountant) is 35 years.
Note: Course completed through correspondence /part-time will not be eligible.

SBI SO Selection Process
The selection of candidates for the posts of System Officer (Test Engineer), System Officer (Web Developer and System Officer (Performance/Senior Automation Test Engineer) is done based on online test and interview. The selection of candidates for the posts of System Officer (Project Manager) is done through shortlisting and interview. The selection for contractual positions is done through Shortlisting, Interview and CTC Negotiation.
The selection process of Assistant Manager (Network Security Specialist) and Middle Management Grade Scale II (MMGS II) is done based on online test and interview. The online test comprises Professional KnowledgeTest of 100 marks. The duration of the test is 80 minutes. The interview carries 25 marks. The final merit list is arrived at after aggregating the marks (out of 100 marks) and interview (out of 25 marks). The weightage given to the online test and interview for the posts is 75 per cent and 25 per cent, respectively.
