Compared to previous years placements will be good in 2026.
Placements: There is no need to worry about placements in SJCE, especially in our branch. There are really good placements and around 85-90% of students get placed this year. I heard that the highest salary package offered is 29 LPA. The mechanical branch has good placements, especially for girls.
Infrastructure: I am not satisfied with the hostel a bit because of their facilities and negligence but we can manage it. The JSS Ladies Hostel in Hootagali surroundings are not safe, so we cannot go on a walk in the evening as it is too much scary because people are not good there.
Faculty: Faculty members in our branch are not too bad. I am not satisfied with them completely. Exams are set easily, and they are not too much tough. As compared to VTU, exams are quite easy and they are very useful for future semesters. Their teaching is good.

There are good infrastructure and facilities at JSS.
Placements: Our college promises absolute placements for students with no backlogs. Every year, more than 100 companies visit to recruit students. At least more than 85% of students get placed every year. The highest salary package offered is 54 LPA. The average salary package offered is 15 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Bosch, Fidelity, Nokia, JP Morgan, etc. Students got internships as software development interns at companies like JP Morgan, Cisco, and Fidelity.
Infrastructure: The university provides ample facilities starting with basic amenities. Students are provided with free Wi-Fi connectivity to get connected with each other. Classrooms are equipped with blackboards, smart boards, seating arrangements, etc. It has a huge library with books related to all the branches. The hostel food is good. All rooms are a little furnished.
Faculty: All faculty members are professors. A few are professors, some are associate professors, and many are assistant professors. They make classes engaging and interactive. They are knowledgeable. The teaching quality is not that bad. The teaching curriculum is well-structured and planned. The curriculum is designed neatly so that students will be industry-ready. Semester exams are set at moderate to tough levels, making students challenging. The pass percentage is 5.0 SGPA.
Other: I am pursuing computer science and engineering. The main reason to be a part of this course is its opportunities in the growing industries. There are no new branches in the college. I think this has to be improved. There are many students engaging in fests and events organised every month. The crowd is huge because there are no full-day classes.

SJCE Review in a Short but Effective Way.
Placements: Good but not so good because the average package is decreasing year by year, but the highest package is coming no matter what and is around 3 to 4 Lacs for the average package. The highest recorded for the year is given by 30 to 42 Lacs, which is a great number.
Infrastructure: I am a localite, so I have no information but the hostel is decent for living an easy life without any problems. The Wi-Fi is also good, and the library facilities are good. A reference room is also provided for students to study the subject they need till 8 pm.
Faculty: Faculty is not good, leaving some of them who are too good, but taking the majority of them, no, it's not good. Also, some of them would not provide you with the outcome that the course provided for us and the impact of it in our career. Exams are given in favor of us only, and it is easy.
Other: No, that's all of it as listed above.

Some Teachers Teach Well and Some Not. You Have to Study on Your Own.
Placements: Companies come for a really good package, but it's left to you how you'll prepare. Since there was a recession, many companies didn't hire people. For example, instead of taking 30 people for a particular company, they took only 5 to 6. Hence, it's left to you.
Infrastructure: I have no idea about the hostel because I'm from Mysore. Classrooms are okay, and library books are abundant. You can have any number of books. I recommend you go through slides or PPT. That's enough, though. Wi-Fi is a bit slow, labs are kind of good, and the canteen is not good.
Faculty: Some teachers teach well, and some do not. Exams or question papers depend on how you behave in class for that particular semester. Some teachers purposely fail students if you try to oversmart. That's the problem with some universities, so be careful with certain teachers.

The top recruiting companies are Mercedes-Benz, Bosch, Amazon, Apple, Oracle, IBM, Accenture and many more. Basically, the placement programme begins at the end of the 6th semester and they also provide internships to a good number of students .
Infrastructure: The JSSSTU campus is filled with greenery, trees and plants all over the campus. The campus is very huge, covering around 108 acres. The labs and classrooms are above average, and there's also Wi-Fi facility in college. This college has a huge library with a capacity for more than 150 students. There are 2 hostels for boys and girls, one inside the campus and the other outside. The girls hostel, which is situated outside the campus, has bus facilities, whereas the boys hostel outside the college is nearby, and they can come to college by walk. The food is average—not that bad. There is also a hospital inside the campus that provides free medical treatment. The college campus has a cricket, hockey, football and basketball ground, along with an indoor stadium and gym.
Faculty: Lecturers are chill here, except a few. They have a good amount of knowledge and skills to make students understand the concepts. JSSSTU has its own course curriculum, which gets updated according to industry needs. Basically, this course has all the aspects that the industry needs. The semester exams are not that tough. Its easy to score above 8.5 CGPA here. There's a different approach to the calculation of grades here, based on credit.
Other: I chose JSSSTU because it's one of the best colleges of Karnataka, having a great name for its placement, though it's situated in Mysore, not Bangalore. The only disadvantage I found is lack of support from the administration to cultural and sports facilities. Jaciyana is the annual college festival held In this college, which is famous throughout Karnataka, there's even scholarship facilities for students.

The top recutrites include Cisco, JPMC, Deloitte, Fedility Investment, etc. The roles offered includes software developer, Data Analyst, Devops engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: The college is equipped with great infrastructure, which include well-facilitated labs, Wi-Fi, smart classroom, large libraries, etc. The hostel comes with different options, which includes 4 sharing in 1st year, 3 sharing for another three years, and even few single sharing rooms are available. The hostel food is average and hostel also has wi-fi .
Faculty: The faculty is good in SJC, as most of them are well qualified and teaching is average. The only problem is the curriculum is outdated and we still have the old syllabus and most of them are not up to industry standards. The exam are very headache and 5 internals and one semend exams.
