Steps to Follow in NCHMCT JEE 2025 Counselling Process

The categories under which aspirants can apply for NCHMCT JEE 2025 counselling are mentioned below:

In the counselling round for NCHMCT JEE, candidates need to select their college preference after going through the information provided by the respective college on their official websites. However, aspirants need to note that the college for admission will be allotted to them on the basis of their AIR, that is, merit and the college selected by them at the time of counselling.

There are two rounds of counselling for admissions on the basis of NCHMCT JEE ranks. These are:

  • First Round of Counselling
  • Second Round of Counselling

The first two rounds of NCHMCT JEE 2025 counselling process are web-based/online. If the need arises the third round of counselling may also be conducted which will be called Spot round or third round of counselling. For this, students need to physically appear at the admission centre to take part and complete the counselling process.

The tasks performed at the time of NCHMCT JEE counselling 2025 include:

  1. Checking the eligibility of candidates
  2. Verification of documents
  3. Depositing counselling fee and first-semester fee
  4. Selecting colleges as per preference

Note: Elaborating on how to select preferred college at the time of counselling, the official information brochure states: “Candidates should give as many choices after careful evaluation of Institutes based on information available on their respective websites”.

After aspirants have selected their college preference, they have to fill the names of colleges as per their preference and also keep in mind the colleges that are available to them for admission on the basis of their rank in NCHMCT JEE 2025 and lock the same. This college preference list/choice list will be valid for two rounds of counselling. Also, after students are allotted admission (or a seat) in a specific college on the basis of online counselling then they have to appear (physically) at a designated admission centre in order to complete the admission process. The tasks to be completed at the admission centre include:

  • Verification of documents
  • Submission of initial fee
  • Upgradation of choices
  • Collection of provisional admission/seat allotment letters

The official website informs that:

  • The number of colleges, as well as seats, may decrease or increase for admissions. However, the same shall be mentioned on the official counselling website of NCHMCT JEE 2025.
  • Extra 5% to 15% seats may be offered over and above intake as per the requirement to take into consideration ‘no shows’ as well as ‘drop-outs’.

Also, no hard copy of the allotment letter would be sent to any aspirant. All aspirants need to take a print of the online allotment letter itself. While taking part in the first two rounds of NCHMCT JEE counselling, aspirants are provided with two options which are- Float and Freeze. If an aspirant selects the "float" option then this means that he/she is applying for upgradation. On the other hand, the "freeze" option implies no upgradation. Informing about the same the official website of NCHMCT JEE counselling informs: "Those candidates who have opted for “Float” option, are also required to sign a declaration that in the event of allotment of a new seat in the 2nd round, their earlier allotted seat would be automatically cancelled and the cancelled seat would be offered to the candidate next in the merit who might have sought that seat through his/her earlier submitted choices". Elaborating further, "In case the candidates have exercised option “Freeze” (for no-upgradation), then he/she would not be considered for seat allotment in the 2nd round of Counselling. However, such candidates will be considered for category upgradation against the same allotted seat".

NCHMCT JEE 2025 Counselling Process: Fee to be paid

When appearing for the counselling round, candidates need to pay a registration fee of INR 2,000. This fees is non refundable. Other then that, candidates will also have to pay INR 40,000 as the participation fess. The amount of INR 40,000 is adjusted as the academic fee for the first semester of the hotel management course. This amount includes INR 2,000 which is the counselling fee

NCHMCT JEE 2025 Counselling: Direct admissions to 10+2 rank holders

There is another option available to students to secure admission in any of the Institutes of Hotel Management (IHMs) and here they do not even need to take part in the NCHMCT JEE counselling process.

In each IHM, three seats are reserved for rank holders of 10+2 exams. Further, it has been shared that among these, one seat (each) is reserved for Arts, Commerce and Science stream toppers of 10+2 exams.

However, the condition to avail direct admissions in IHMs is that the student should be among the top "200 rank holders from respective streams from recognised Boards of school examination wherein up to 2 lakh candidates appear or 1 to 500 rank holders from Board of Examination where 2 lakh to 5 lakh candidates take the examination. The inter-se-merit from recognised School Boards of the examination shall be at par”, informs the official website.
