Delhi University declares 10th cut-off list

Delhi University has come out with the 10th cut-off list. About 10 colleges have re-opened seats for various courses.

For such as Economics, Commerce and English, interested candidates can visit Kirori Mal College, The College of Vocational Studies, Sri Aurobindo College, Zakir Hussain College, Sri Venkateswara College, Sri Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa College, Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, Rajdhani College, Maharaja Agrasen College, Kalindi College have also opened seats for commerce, economics and English courses.

Maharaja Agrasen College has seats vacant for BA Journalism and Mass Communication.

For science courses, the colleges offering admission are Hansraj, Hindu College, Rajdhani College and Zakir Hussain College. Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences, Rajdhani College, Ram Lal Anand College and Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College are offering seats in BTech courses.

According to information, this will be last cut-off list to be declared by DU.

New academic session has already commenced.

DU's Ninth Cut-off Lists

Though the academic session at Delhi University has already kick started, this has not deterred the varsity from declaring its ninth cut-off list to the four-year undergraduate programme.

While the fresh cut-off list is mainly for students belonging to reserved categories, there are a few courses still open for general candidates.

Science aspirants do not get your hopes high, as seats for science courses are closed for general candidates, leaving the candidates with arts and commerce option only.

While there are seven colleges with commerce seats, six colleges are still left with economics, three colleges have vacancies for Hindi and Sanskrit and two have seats for history.

Colleges for admission:

  • Evening colleges like Shyam Lal, Sri Aurobindo College and Satyawati College are the ones still waiting for general students to fill up seats.
  • Indraprastha College for Women re-opened admission to Commerce, English and Hindi.
  • Moti Lal Nehru College (Evening) offers some hopes to aspirants, as it is the only college that has seats vacant for almost all the courses it offers.
  • While colleges like Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences and Ram Lal Anand College made headlines with their 100 percent cut off declaration, they are still waiting for students to fill B.Tech (computer science) seats.

DU's Eight cut-off list

Delhi University has issued the eight cut-off list on Tuesday.

Along with it, the varsity has issued a notification asking colleges to ensure that seats reserved for SC/ST and OBCs are duly filled by candidates of respective categories by lowering the cut-offs to minimum prescribed levels.

Stating in a notification published on DU website, “It has been brought to the notice of the University that a sizeable number of seats reserved for SC/ST and OBC categories are still lying vacant in various courses in different Colleges and more seats are likely to be available in colleges for general category also... It is reiterated that the Colleges shall ensure that all seats reserved for SC/ST and OBCs are duly filled by candidates of the respective categories by lowering down the cut-offs for admission to minimum prescribed levels.”
