DU Admission Criteria 2022 for UG courses, Know eligibility criteria, other important details

DU Admissions 2022: Delhi University is all set to begin the admission process for the academic year 2022-23 in the next few months. With Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2022 making headlines and Delhi University announcing to adopt CUET for undergraduate admission, students are now anxious to know how the admission season at DU will proceed this year.

The DU 2022 admissions will be conducted for around 70,000 Undergraduate seats. As per the data shared by the University, last year, 4,38,696 students had registered for UG admissions, while 1,83,815 had registered for PG courses and 30,019 candidates had sought admissions to MPhil/PhD courses through DU registration.

What’s new in DU Admissions 2022?

This year, the admission season is all set to break the age-old practice of enrolling students on the basis of the merit list or cut-off marks. In 2022 Delhi University and the affiliated colleges will offer admissions to eligible candidates based on CUET scores and 12th class marks (Best of four). While CUET 2022 score will be used only to screen and shortlist admission to UG / Undergraduate level programme offered by the varsity. The admission to all Postgraduate and PhD level courses will be through university-specific DUET – Delhi University Entrance Test 2022.

DU admission has been so far the toughest with the cut-off marks touching 100 per cent last year. With the adoption of CUET scores, now students from across the country will get equal opportunities and chances to get admission to prestigious University.

From the academic year 2022-23, DU eligibility criteria for students would be only CUET scores for admissions to the varsity.  As per DU Admission guidelines 2022, there will be no cut-offs for admission to the varsity beginning in the academic year 2022-23.

DU Admission Guidelines 2022

As per the guidelines, in a case the subject studied in Class 12 does not figure in CUET, the candidate will have to appear in a subject that is similar or closely related to it.
