DU Admissions 2021: Delhi University Cutoff schedule to be out this week, First merit list by October 1

The Delhi University is likely to announce the first cut-off list for undergraduate admissions on October 1, and the detailed schedule will be released by this week.

Delhi University Admissions 2021: Students have been eagerly waiting for Delhi University to announce the DU Cut-off list 2021. While speaking on the same with Shiksha, Professor Rajeev Gupta, Chairman of DU's admission committee said that the Delhi University is likely to announce the first cut-off list for Undergraduate courses admissions on October 1. 

"The Delhi University cut-off schedule 2021 will be announced by this week. October 1 is a tentative date for the first cut-off. We plan to release the first cut-off on that day. We are also holding meetings with college principals and nodal officers to finalise the DU Cutoff schedule," he said.

Delhi University was earlier expected to announce the Cut-off by the first week of September, however, the release of the first UG admission cut-off list got delayed to October 1 to accommodate students who are appearing for compartment or improvement exams.

Professor Gupta further added that Delhi University is mulling to release a cut-off schedule for at least five cut-offs by this week.

While speaking on the University of Delhi cutoff 2021, he said that it is expected to go higher this year as many of the students from CBSE and other boards have scored over 95 per cent marks in their Class 12 board exams. It must be noted that Delhi University has this year received a maximum number of applications for undergraduate admissions from CBSE students.

A total of 2,29,264 students from Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) affiliated schools have registered for undergraduate admissions at Delhi University. It is to date the highest number of applications from students of one board. DU Admissions 2021 registration process ended on August 31.
