DU UG Admissions 2021: Over 30,000 applications received on Day 1
The Delhi University received a record-high number of applications by the end of the first day of admissions. The total number of students who applied after the first cut-off list is 30,554.
DU Admissions 2021: Delhi University began DU Undergraduate Admission 2021 on October 4, 2021, against the first cut-off list. The Delhi University received a record-high number of applications by the end of the first day of admissions. The total number of students who applied after the first cut-off list is 30,554. Out of these, around 795 students have paid the fees.
DU UG Admission 2021 has around 70,000 seats to offer for students across the courses. With Delhi University receiving more than 30,000 applications on the very first day of admission, many are now in a fix whether the seats will run out soon. This year, Hansraj College and Jesus and Mary College have set a cutoff of 100% in BSc (H) Computer Science and 99.75% in Bcom (H) as well as Economics(H), JMC has set 100 percent cut off for the Psychology course. This year the Ramjas college has also set 100% cutoff in three courses- Political Science, Physics and one combination of BA Programme. Popular DU colleges like Hindu College and Ramjas College have set 100 % cut-off for BA (H) Political Science, while Shri Ram College of Commerce has come up with 100 % cut off for B.A. (Hons.) Economics and B.Com (Hons.) and Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College has announced 100% cut-off for B.Com
With eight colleges setting up a perfect score of 100%, the competition and admissions have become very tough. Owing to COVID-19 restrictions, Delhi University is conducting the admission process completely online. As reported by several media houses, the first day of DU Admissions went smoothly and this year the varsity witnessed more applications on the very first day as compared to previous years.
