IGNOU launches new online certificate courses in Arabic, Russian languages and Tourism Studies

The certificate courses will be offered from the January 2020 admission cycle.

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has launched three online certificate programmes, namely Certificate in Arabic Language, (CAL), Certificate in Tourism Studies (CTS) and Certificate in Russian Language. The certificate courses will be offered from the January 2020 admission cycle. All the interested students can apply for the said courses by visiting the official website of the Open University- http://iop.ignouonline.ac.in/.

Certificate in Tourism Studies (CTS)

The programme has been developed keeping in mind people who in future intend to make their career in some branch of tourism or are already working in tourism-related areas at various levels. The duration of the programme is a minimum of 6 months and a maximum of 1 year as per UGC regulations. Initial launch fee would be Rs 1800 for the full programme.
Eligibility:10+2 or its equivalent                                             

Certificate in Arabic Language (CAL)

The certificate programme aims at acquainting the beginners with essentials of the Arabic Language with an ability to speak, write and read the language. The programme will be for a minimum of 6 months and a maximum of 1 year. The full course fee amounts to Rs 1800.
Eligibility: 10+2, Minimum 18 years of age

Certificate in Russian Language (CRUL)

CRUL aims at providing beginners with the basics of Russian Language. The programme aims at introducing the learners with the Russian grammar basics and phonetics so that they can read, write, listen and speak the language well. The course duration is of 6 months (minimum) to a maximum of 1 year. The initial launch fee for the certificate programme is Rs 2500 for the full programme.
Eligibility: 10+2, Minimum 18 years of age
