BHU opens window to change test city preference for UET 2020 and PET 2020

Candidates appearing for BHU UET 2020 and PET 2020 can now change exam centre preferences in their application form for the upcoming examination. Read here to know more. 

Banaras Hindu University has enabled the option to change exam centre preferences for BHU UET 2020 and PET 2020. Candidates can now select their most preferred test centres from the five cities they earlier selected as BHU UET/ PET test centres. The last date of making changes in the exam centre preferences is June 20 and, candidates need not pay any fee to make changes. BHU has not announced the exam dates yet as the lockdown 5.0 is imposed until June 30. The dates will be finalised thereafter and, once the exam centre conveniences are observed. Candidates will be issued admit cards of BHU UET 2020 and PET 2020 after June 20 only. 

The official notification stated, " The online application process for admission to UG and PG Programmes under UET/PET 2020 for the academic session 2020-21 ended on March 2020. The Entrance Examinations for different courses were scheduled in April-May 2020 at 202 Test Cities across the Country. However, to prevent the spread of COVID—19, the lockdown was imposed with effect from 25th March 2020 due to which all the Entrance Examinations of the University were postponed.

While submitting the online application form, the applicants had given a choice of 5 Test Cities, in order of preference. The University is making effort to allot to any applicant his/her most preferred test city (choice 1 while filling up the application form) or any other centre in the radius of 200 kilometres of the most preferred test city. However, there could be a number of applicants who had initially opted for a particular Test City as choice 1, have now moved far away from the same during the lockdown and it might be inconvenient for them to appear in the entrance test at the Test City originally preferred. For such candidates, the University is giving an option to request for a change in most preferred Test City (Choice I)."

Candidates can change their test centre as under: 

• Visit the official website of BHU -bhuonline.in and click on the 'Apply for admission' link under UET or PET as per your course
• The login page will open up, here enter the email ID and password to proceed
• On login, the application board will appear as under: 

• Click on 'Centre Change' option and select the cities in order to most to least preferred locations as per the current situation. 
• Save the changes and exit from the applicant account.
