• The institue registration fee refers to the fee that candidates need to pay to apply for a particular Symbiosis Law School.

1. Registration:

2. Login:
   - Use the provided login credentials to access the application portal.

3. Fill in Personal Details:
   - Complete the personal information section, including your name, date of birth, gender, nationality, and category (if applicable).

4. Educational Qualifications:
   - Enter your academic details, including marks obtained, year of passing, and the name of your school/college.

5. Communication Details:
   - Provide your contact information, including your address, email ID, and mobile number.

6. Upload Documents:
   - Upload scanned copies of your recent passport-sized photograph and signature as per the specified format and size requirements.
   - Depending on the specific requirements, you may need to upload other documents such as category certificates.

7. Programme Preferences:
   - Select the law programs and courses you wish to apply for. Candidates also need to select the SLAT test (between SLAT Test 1 SLAT Test 2) in which they want to appear. They can apply for one of the two SLAT tests or both SLAT tests.

8. Payment:
   - Pay the SLAT application fee through the available online payment methods (credit card, debit card, net banking).

For example, if a candidate filled out the SLAT application form for Symbiosis Law School Nagpur and Symbiosis Law School Pune, he or she will have to pay INR 2,250 as the SLAT application fee 2025 and INR 2000 for the two Symbiosis Law Schools (application fee of INR 1000 for each Symbiosis Law School). No, candidates cannot fill out the application form offline. The exam authority for the Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) releases the SLAT application form online only. SLAT is conducted for all candidates from different Indian states. It is difficult for the exam authority to make the exam form available to everyone at different physical centres. Thus, to allow all the exam aspirants to access the SLAT application form, the exam authority makes it available online on the official website of Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET), set-test.org. A candidate is required to make a separate, non-refundable, and non-transferable payment of INR 1000 per programme per institute at this stage.

If candidates forget their SLAT password after filling in the SLAT application form, they can retrieve it. They need to visit the website of the Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT). Then, they need to click on the link related to the SLAT log in portals. After clicking on the link, a new window will be opened that requires candidates to enter their SLAT ID and password. On this window, they will find an option of “Forget Password.” By clicking on this option, candidates will be redirected to a new page where they need to enter their name, email, and date of birth. After entering these details, they will be able to get the SLATpassword rest option.

Candidates do not need to send the physical or hard copy of the SLAT application form to the Symbiosis International University office after filling it out. However, they are required to send the payment details to the Symbiosis Test Secretariat if they make payment for the SLAT application form through Demand Draft (DD). To make payment through Demand Draft for the SLAT exam, candidates are required to select "DD Payment"; in the "Make Payment"; tab while filling out the SLAT application form. The Demand Draft needs to be submitted from any nationalised Bank in flavour of "Symbiosis Test Secretariat''; payable at Pune. Candidates can take a printout of the payment advice form to make payment of the SLAT application fee through DD, which can assist them while filling out the form. SLAT exam authority uses University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines for SLAT reservation policy. As per the exam authority, the total percentage of reserved seats for Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates is 15. The total percentage of seats reserved for Scheduled Tries candidates in SLAT is 7.5%. The exam authority has reserved 5% of seats for wards of Defence Personnel at Symbiosis Law School Pune. The reservation facility for wards of Defence personnel is not available at the other three Symbiosis Law Schools. Moreover, 3% of total seats are reserved for Different Able candidates in all SLSs through SLAT.

The SLAT eligibility criteria are based on two points. The first point is that candidates must have passed Class 12. The education of candidates should be in the format of (10+2) from any recognised board. Students who completed their Class 12 at an open school are not eligible for SLAT. The second point is that candidates from the general or open category must have scored 45%. Aspirants from the scheduled caste or scheduled tribe (SC / ST) category require a minimum of 40% marks to appear in the SLAT.

The SLAT registration fee is non-refundable. Thus, candidates cannot get it once they submit. Candidates need to know that the SLAT application or registration fee can only be submitted online through the website of SET, set-test.org. The online fee will be submitted via the following payment gateways:

The SLAT registration fee 2025 is INR 2,250. In addition to this registration fee, candidates will also have to pay a SLAT institute fee of INR 1,000 at the time of SLAT registration. The SLAT institute fee is the registration fee required to apply for each Symbiosis Law School (SLS). If you want to apply for each SLS, you need to pay the institute fee for each of them.

Note: 

• Please note that if you fail to send the SLAT institute fee through before the last application date, your application will be rejected and your fee will be refunded. 
• Also, note that the SLAT registration fee and application fee are subject to change. 

The Symbiosis International University does not provide any relations to reserved category candidates on the SLAT application fee. Candidates belonging to all categories are required to pay the same amount as the SLAT fee. The SLAT Institute fee for candidates in all categories is also equal. In 2023, the SLAT application fee was INR 1950 for all applicants. However, the SLAT institute fee in the same year was INR 1000. The SLAT application fee and institute registration fee are subject to change as per a decision by the Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) authority.

Candidates must follow the steps outlined below to pay the SLAT 2025 application fee:
1. Visit to the Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) official website, set-test.org.
2. After visiting the website, candidates must fill out SLAT registration form 2025 by entering their basic information and the One-Time Password that was sent to their mobile phone.
3. The following step is for applicants to pay the INR 1950 SLAT application fee online using Billdesk Gateway or Indian Bank Gateway, or offline via Demand Draught.
4. Candidates need to submit the registration form.
5. They must then complete the SLAT application form 2025 by logging onto the SET website and paying the SLAT institute application fee using the same procedures as described previously.

The SLAT 2025 will be conducted on December 13 and 15, 2024. Pleases note that the SLAT 2025 exam dates are for SLAT Test 1 and SLAT Test 2 are different.
