Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) releaseds the TS LAWCET syllabus alongwith admission notification.  As per the details provided by TGCHE, the TS LAWCET 2025 syllabus contains the section-wise topics that candidates have to prepare for the exam.

The question paper for TS LAWCET 2025 will have three sections - GK and Mental Ability, Current Affairs, and Aptitude for the Study of Law. These subjects are included in the exam syllabus.

The syllabus for the 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB programmes have the same subjects and carry the same weightage. However, the difficulty level for the 5-year exam will be of Intermediate level/10+2, while the difficulty level for the 3-year LLB exam will be of Degree Level.

Q:   When will TS LAWCET 2025 registration start?

A:

The TS LAWCET 2024 registration will tentatively start in March 2025, on the official TS LAWCET 2025 portal, lawcet.tsche.ac.in. The registration for 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB through TS PGLCET 2025 will also start on the same date. The registration cum application form for TS LAWCET 2025 will only be made available online. Candidates need to note that the TS LAWCET 2025 exam date for 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB courses will be notified here after the release of the TS LAWCET 2025 notification. The exam will be conducted online at test centres allotted to candidates.

The important topics under the GK section are the following:

Reasoning ability is based on the following topics Logical Reasoning: Identifying patterns, drawing inferences, and solving problems based on logical reasoning.

  • Analytical Reasoning: Analyzing information, identifying relationships, and drawing conclusions.
  • Critical Reasoning: Evaluating arguments, identifying biases, and forming sound judgments.

B. Analytical Ability:

For the Analytical Ability, you need to study the following topics: 

  • Data Interpretation: Interpreting data presented in tables, charts, and graphs.
  • Data Sufficiency: Analyzing data to determine if it is sufficient to answer a given question.
  • Problem Solving: Identifying problems, analyzing information, and developing solutions.

  2. Stare decisis (the principle of following legal precedent).

  3. Ratio decidendi (the legal reasoning behind a court decision).

  4. Legal maxims (short, well-established principles of law).

C. Legal Reasoning

This section includes the three main topics listed below:

  1. Case analysis: Identifying the issue, relevant facts, legal principles, and reasoning applied in a court case.

  2. Problem-solving: Applying legal knowledge and reasoning to solve hypothetical legal problems.

The TS PGLCET 2025 exam is conducted for admission to the 2-year LLM course offered by participating colleges. The TS PGLCET 2025 exam will be of 90 minutes duration and include 120 objective-type questions of 1 mark each. The TS PGLCET 2025 syllabus would include the following topics:
