- AuditionEligible candidates need to appear for the audition/preliminary test conducted by the institute. Candidates qualifying in the audition will have to attend a 5 days workshop in the school premises.
- Final SelectionCandidates are selected based on their performance in audition and workshop. Foreign students have to submit their applications through the Indian Embassy/ High Commission in their countries, who will forward these to then the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR). The school will then consider the application recommended by the ICCR.

No, you can not join NSD for Diploma in Dramatic Arts three years of duration course. Because the minimum eligibility criteria is graduation. Further course required the following eligibility also.
1. Working experience in minimum 6 theater production houses.
2. Recommendation letter of one theater
