The exam body, Xavier Institute of Communications (XIC) has closed the registration for the XIC OET exam. As per the XIC OET dates released on its official website xaviercomm.org/admissions/admissions.html the registration window was activated on March 1, 2024, and closed on March 31, 2024. Candidates who met the minimum eligibility criteria were able to fill out the XIC OET application form 2024 during this period. The XIC OET 2024 exam was conducted in online mode on April 5, 6, and 7, 2024. Candidates had the liberty to appear for the XET from wherever they could. The date and time of XET were informed to them through their XIC OET admit card they received upon registering.

Post the online test, a Zoom interview was conducted on April 13, 14, and 15, 2024. Candidates who qualify for the XIC XET online test will have to go through the Personal Interview. The interview will be held at different centres on different dates.

XIC Entrance Test (XET) 2024 Application Process

Candidates who wish to appear for the XIC Entrance Test (XET) 2024 have to follow the below-mentioned admission process.

Step 1: Registration

Candidates had to register themselves by clicking on the 'register' on the official website of the university to fill in the application form. Candidates had to ensure that they kept a scanned copy of a recent passport-size photograph of themselves ready for uploading before filling in the online registration form. Candidates had to enter the following details while filling out the application form: 

  • Name
  • Mobile Number
  • Email ID
  • Course Interested In
  • Captcha Number 

After submitting the details, candidates might have received a login ID and password which could use to log in, to avail the XIC Entrance Test (XET) application forms.

Step 2: Fill XIC Entrance Test (XET) Application Form

Candidates filled out the online application forms. Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria before filling out and submitting the application forms. Candidates will have to pay their XIC Entrance Test (XET) 2024 application fee online by using their Bank DEBIT / CREDIT Cards / Net banking / UPI. The Registration fee for the XET is INR 3,500/- only (inclusive of prevailing GST).

Note: As part of the Registration Process, candidates will have to provide their Statement of Purpose (SOP). If they qualify for the Personal Interview stage, it could be brought up for discussion. Hence, candidates are advised to give sufficient thought while putting their SOP together.

Step 3: Select the date and center

After completing the payment procedure candidates will have to select their XET date and personal interview center.

Note: FAILURE to upload SCANNED PHOTOGRAPH or provide proper details, could not allow the candidate to proceed further.

Step 4: XIC Entrance Test (XET) Admit Card

The XIC Entrance Test (XET) 2024 admit card was sent to candidates on the E-mail ID mentioned in their registration form. Candidate were advised to check their Junk/Spam Email Folders in case they do not receive the admit card after the registration procedure. Candidates had to preserve their admit card carefully as only this document was accepted in all further transactions between a candidate and XIC.

Step 5: Appear for XIC Entrance Test (XET)

Candidates had to appear for the Xavier Institute of Communications Online Entrance Test at their preferred date. XIC Entrance Test (XET) was of 120 minutes duration and consisted of both objective as well as subjective type questions.

XIC Entrance Test (XET) Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the courses offered at XIC are given below:

Eligibility for other courses

A candidate is eligible to register for the XET if he/she meets the requirements mentioned below:

  • You are 35 years or below in age.
  • You have completed 3 years of Graduation (12+3 years) in a university-approved stream in India: (Arts, Commerce, Science, Computers, BMM, BMS, BE, Catering, etc….)
    OR
  • You are appearing for your last semester or Third-year Graduation in the present Academic year (2023-24).

Note: In this last case, should a candidate be selected for the XIC Course of their choice, and complete it in keeping with the Academic, Attendance, and other standards laid down by XIC, the Post Graduate Diploma will be awarded only on completion of their Graduation and on submission of the relevant attested Final mark-sheet of their graduation.

Eligibility for The Advanced Integrated Communication Program (AICP)

A Graduate in any discipline and Work experience of 2 years in a non-staff function (executive or supervisory function desired). Organizational sponsorship for this program is preferred but not compulsory. However, a letter from the organization shall be required stating that they are aware of your joining this program.

Candidates seeking admission to Xavier Institute of Communications will have to follow the process as under:

Step 1: Appear for Personal Interview

Based on a candidate's score on the online test and subjective paper, they will be called for a personal interview. Candidates will have to be present on the date at the center, selected by them while submitting the form. The venue and time will be intimated via email.

Step 2: Check XIC Entrance Test (XET) Result

Selections will be based on the candidate's scores in the online test, subjective paper, and personal interview. Aspirants can check their XIC Entrance Test (XET) 2024 results on the official website of the Xavier Institute of Communications.

XIC Entrance Test (XET) 2024 Syllabus & Pattern

The Xavier Institute of Communications is not specified by the exam body, however as per the official website there are objective types of questions and this section of the exam consists of questions based on Language Skills, General Knowledge and Knowledge of Media, and Logical and Analytical skills.

The questions in the subjective section will be media-related to assess the creativity, social values, writing skills, etc of the candidates. XIC OET Pattern

Candidates will have to appear for the XIC Entrance Test (XET) and those qualifying for the exam will be shortlisted for a personal interview round. The XIC Entrance Test (XET) 2024 pattern will be such that aspirants will have to attempt multiple choice questions in 60 minutes and subjective questions in 60 minutes duration.

The password and login details will be emailed to candidates 10 minutes before the test. Candidates are advised to check their SPAM/JUNK folder in case they do not receive the email in their Inbox.
