These are first-hand student accounts on how our young population is managing to keep their exam prep or college course work going from the confines of their homes. In case you want to share your lockdown study experience, write to us at publish@shiksha.com.

In light of COVID-19, our college IIBM has also taken various actions to secure the well-being of their students and staff. The college has started online lectures which are possible with the technology. The development of the online lecture makes it possible so that the teacher and student no longer have to be in any specific place to teach or to learn respectively. IIBM conducts online lecture where students of regular batch and working batch joins the lecture at the same time, which creates the same environment as we are sitting in a classroom.

We can also interact with the teachers regarding any query, even after the lectures if we have any questions regarding the topic we all need to send an email, text or call the respective teacher.

Along with the online lectures, the professors do conduct doubt solving sessions so that we can interact and solve all the queries related to the topic. After the lectures and sessions, we get question bank to solve and a deadline to submit the answers.

The professors also provide videos related to the topics so that we can clarify the doubts by going through the videos again.

Online Tests are also being conducted to check whether students have understood the topics or which topic needs to get a brush-up again. In this way, we all are working together to ensure that the syllabus is completed on time. Along with online lectures, we are working on our projects as well.

If any of the students are facing some issues or have any queries related to the project, a faculty member is assigned to us as a Project Mentor to assist us throughout the project. We have been given deadlines to submit the project online, but before that, we have to submit the soft copy of the project so that the project mentor can review and give us an approval to submit the final project.

Apart from this, the college never fails to engage us in many activities. In this lockdown period, our college is regularly postings videos and content on social media related to general knowledge which is like a cherry on the cake because these are very useful for students to enhance their knowledge and skills in different fields. Also, the college is conducting online quiz competition and it is beneficial for all of us as we are doing business studies, so, all the small and simple things matters a lot.
