History
Patna University is among the oldest universities in India to be founded under British rule. Founded in 1917, Patna University Bihar is a public university and is the 7th oldest public university in the Indian subcontinent. The University operates as a state university under the Government of Bihar. Because of its historical foundation, University of Patna takes on the relevance of heritage.

The Patna University, Patna campus is located in the city of Bihar capital in Patna and covers an area of 181.58 acres. The location of the campus is on the banks of the Ganges river. To study BA LLB or BBA LLB at Chanakya National Law University Patna students must complete the course eligibility of:
- Passed Class 10 and Class 12
- Minimum score of 45% for General (40% for Reserved)
