IRMA placements 2020: Highest package of Rs 52 lakh offered

Overall 27 students out of the 226 students were placed through pre-placement offers while the remaining 199 got placement from the campus placement process.

The Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) lately completed the final placement process of its 2018-20 batch. One of the students of the institute got the maximum salary package of Rs 52 lakh per annum in the latest placement round. Last year, the maximum package offered was Rs 50.31 lakh per annum. According to IRMA, a total of 226 students out of 233 students in the current batch enrolled themselves for the campus placements round. Overall 27 students out of the 226 students were placed through pre-placement offers while the remaining 199 got placement from the campus placement process. IRMA got 314 offers from 109 organisations/firms this year, against 407 job offers from 119 recruiters received in the previous placement round.

Rs 10.80 lakh per annum was the average salary given to IRMA students by business sector institutions. On the other hand, institutions form the development sector consisting of Co-operatives, NGOs and government agencies offered a salary package of Rs 10.74 lakh per annum. A total of 42 students got received offers from government agencies, NGOs, and CSR foundations. Institutions such as TVS-Srinivasan Service Trust, Government of Telangana (Dept of Panchayati Raj & Rural Development), Madhya Pradesh State Rural Livelihoods Mission, Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education Vedanta Foundation, Caspian, BAIF Development Research Foundation, BASIX, etc., hired through the campus placements.

Multinational and national agri-business institutions such as Seedworks, Adani Wilmar, Emami Agrotech, Tolaram, ITC Agribusiness Division, ADM Agro, among others took part in the placements. From the FMCG and retail sector, Metro Cash & Carry, Ninjacart, Reliance Retails, Future Group, etc., hired from IRMA. Banking, finance, and insurance services (BFSI) firms such as Vivriti Capital, ICICI Prudential, Bharati AXA, Reliance General Insurance, ICICI Bank, IDFC First Bank, Axis Bank, Fullerton, and various small finance banks hired from the campus this year.
