SNAP 2016: Exam pattern changed; total marks reduced to 150
The pattern of Symbiosis National Aptitude Test or SNAP 2016 has been changed with weightage of two sections slashed drastically.
Symbiosis International University, the body which conducts SNAP for its 15 colleges, announced the change in pattern late Tuesday.
According to the new pattern, total marks have been reduced from 180 to 150. However, there's no change in the total number of questions and duration of exam.
Major changes in the exam pattern have been effected in General Awareness and Logical Reasoning sections.
In the General Awareness section the number of questions have been reduced from 40 to 30. Each question will carry 1 mark, like the previous years.
In the Logical Reasoning section, the number of questions have been increased from 30 to 40 but the marks have been reduced from 60 to 40. Earlier, each question from LR section carried 2 marks which would give it maximum weightage (60 marks) in the question paper. From this year onwards, every LR question will carry only 1 mark.
