ATMA counselling: AIMS Test for Management Admissions (ATMA) counselling is conducted by the participating institutes which accept ATMA scores after the results are announced. There is no centralised counselling procedure for ATMA. ATMA results 2024 were announced on December 31, 2024, for the December session exam. Candidates who will meet the cut-off marks for the ATMA exam will be called for final selection rounds. The counselling rounds of the ATMA exam 2024 will be held at various centres. Candidates can select their centres while filling out the registration form for participating institutes after the announcement of results and cut-off marks.

Q: What is the mode of ATMA counselling?

The ATMA counselling is conducted in online as well as offline mode. Candidates who have qualified for ATMA exam must register themselves online through the official website. However, the Personal Interview What/GD and document verification round under the counselling process is held offline at the designated helpline centres. Candidates who have MET the ATMA cutoff, need to visit the centre for document verification as per their rank and other selection rounds such as PI and What. The seat allotment process is also conducted online based on the merit, category, and choices filled by the candidate during the registration process. ATMA Counselling Process 2024

ATMA counselling rounds include three rounds i.e. Group Discussion (GD), Personal Interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT) as explained below:

1. Group Discussion (GD) – Candidates who meet the cutoff criteria will be called for a Group Discussion round by various institutes. They will be divided into small groups and will be assigned a particular topic for discussion. The candidates will be assessed on various grounds such as negotiation skills, managerial skills, communication skills, leadership, personality, etc.

2. Written Ability Test (WAT) – Candidates will be required to take a WAT (Written Ability Test) and write a short essay on any general topic allotted by the panel of judges. Moreover, there could be subjective-type questions and answers round on the given topic/s. Candidates will be judged on language ability, vocabulary, grammatical skills, expression, etc.

3. Personal Interview (PI) – Candidates will then have to appear for an interview with an expert panel from industries or academics. The PI round will focus on:

Q: How can I calculate ATMA scores?

ATMA score is determined on the basis of correct answers marked by aspirants in the ATMA exam. For each correct answer, candidates are awarded one mark. For an incorrect answer, 0.25 marks are deducted from the candidates' total score. This means that for four incorrect answers, one mark is deducted from the total score. The raw score of candidates is scaled with reference to the total number of candidates appearing in the exam. The ATMA percentile is the percentage of candidates among those who have appeared for the exam and scored below the candidate in that category. That is, if a candidate has scored 53 per cent, this means that 53 per cent of candidates who have appeared in ATMA exam scored below him/her. Based on the percentile score of candidates they will be offered admission to the management institutions compared to others who have appeared in the test.
