ATMA 2024: One-Month Preparation Strategy

While each candidate has a unique approach to exam preparation, here are a few preparation tips that you can try to improve your ATMA preparation strategy in the last month.

  • Make a study routine: Making a study routine goes a long way in preparation for any exam. Planning well in advance in a systematic way will help the students to prepare well for the exam. Divide the topics and try to dedicate two hours daily to each of the three sections. Also, while preparing, relax your mind for 15-20 minutes and re-energize.

  • Capitalise strengths: With being so close to the exam day, students must have identified their strengths and weaknesses. It is important to work on the weaker areas, but it is equally important to strengthen the stronger ones. Practicing consistently will help in capitalizing on one's strengths. Try finding tricks to solve the questions in less time accurately.
  • Improve speed and accuracy: ATMA is a time-based exam, and speed and accuracy are two major players in the exam. ATMA exam also has negative marking; hence, aspirants need to be careful with the questions they pick. To improve speed and accuracy, solve as many mock tests as possible. Try solving a difficult question twice or thrice. Develop the skills to identify the questions that you can solve with 100 per cent accuracy.
  • Revision: Devote at least an hour to revision daily. Prepare short notes and jot down the important formulae and key points while revising. Covering the complete syllabus in one month is a difficult task, hence, opt for smart revision tricks. Revise from the short notes. This will help you have a more focused strategy.

  • Take breaks: Do not study for longer hours in this phase of ATMA preparation. You might feel you are not studying for enough hours but remember- quality matters, not quantity. Take adequate breaks, indulge in your favourite sport or hobby, go for a walk, watch movies, and read books to refresh your mind.
  • Focus on exam day strategy: It is important to keep your mind calm and relaxed. No amount of revision and preparation will be worth it if one falters on exam day. Reach the ATMA exam centre an hour before the exam begins to complete the frisking formalities at the gate. Make sure you are carrying the required documents, i.e. ATMA admit card and a valid photo ID proof. Do not carry any electronic gadgets and stay away from indulging in unfair means.
