MAT result 2024 for December phase exams will be available for download at the AIMA MAT website, most likely in January 2025. To download the MAT 2024 result, candidats will have to use their roll number or registration number. Result of all the session of MAT 2024 December phase can be accessed in the student dashboard. Candidates who have appeared for multiple sessions can use best of all attempts for MBA admission.

Q:   How can I download MAT result cum scorecard?

A:
MAT result is released in the form of downloadable PDF at the AIMA MAT website. The test takers have to log in and download their scorecards from the official website. The result is released phase wise. For MAT February exams, the result are released by March. For May phase exams, the results are released by June-July. For September phase exams, the results are released in October and for December phase exams, the results are released in January. To download the MAT result, candidates need to follow the steps given below: 1. Go to AIMA-MAT website 2. Click on login window 3. Enter application number and password 4. Go to result tab and download it Hardcopies of the scorecard will not be released by the AIMA so candidates need to download their result as soon as it is released. The MAT scorecard is available for download at the AIMA MAT website for about one year.

Q:   What after MAT Result?

A:

After the declaration of MAT result, candidates can start applying to the colleges they have shortlisted for pursuing MBA/PGDM. AIMA will send candidate's scores to the participating B-Schools that they shall have selected in their MAT application form. The MBA colleges will then shortlist candidates for the admission process and call candidates for further rounds. If candidates want to apply at colleges other than those five, then they will have to fill the application form for those other colleges individually. The admission process includes, Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). Candidates can start preparing for the GD/PI round before or after the MAT result announcement. They can join online platforms or coaching institutes for soft skills and personality development. Q:   Are MAT scorecards of all modes released together?

A:
Yes, the MAT scorecards of all modes are released together on the same day. The process to download the MAT scorecards of all modes is also same. MAT exam is conducted phase wise in February, May, September and December. In each phase MAT PBT, MAT CBT and MAT IBT exam are conducted multiple times. Candidates can appear for MAT any number of times they want. Score of the latest MAT attempt will be considered for admission. So, candidates must download the scorecard of the last attempt they have taken. The candidates are supposed to download their scorecards of the attempt/s made by them, by using the login credentials. In the dashboard, the option to download the MAT scorecard is given. The candidates can download their by using their application number and password.

How to Download MAT Exam Result 2024?

MAT result cum scorecards are issued in online mode only at the AIMA-MAT website. To download MAT exam result 2024, candidates have to follow the steps given below:

  • Visit the official website of AIMA MAT: https://mat.aima.in/
  • Login with registration number and email ID
  • Select Exam Month (February/May/September/December)
  • Click on scorecard option
  • MAT scorecard will appear on the screen
  • Click on download option and save your MAT 2024 scorecard

Q:   For how long is MAT score valid?

A:

MAT score is valid for admission for the same academic year in which the candidate has taken the exam. For example, MAT 2024 score will be valid for admission for 2024-2026 MBA batch only. If a candidate wishes to drop a year after taking the MAT exam, then they will have to appear for the exam once again next year. They should however check the eligibility or selection criteria to have a clarity of MAT score of which session/phase is valid for admission in which academic year. For example, for 2025 academic session MAT September 2024 and MAT December 2024 scores will be valid for admission to some MBA colleges who have the admission cycle of January-February. Whereas, colleges who conduct admission in March-May accept MAT February exam scores for admission. To simplify, MAT test takers must not try to use their score for admission more than one year after appearing for it. They should appear for it again and use the latest score for admission.

Q:   Can I make another attempt at MAT exam, if I score low in first attempt?

A:

Yes, you can attempt MAT exam as many times as you want. MAT is conducted multiple times in a year and three different modes. The MAT exam is held in February, May, September and December. In each phase there are 4-5 IBT sessions, 2 CBT sessions and 1 PBT session. If a candidate is not satisfied with their score of first attempt, they can choose any upcoming session to appear for it again. They can choose an exam phase and a session as per their preparation level, decision to pursue MBA or admission cycle of the target college. However, for each session, the candidate will have to fill a fresh application form and pay the fees. The score of the last attempted MAT exam will be considered for admission. MAT Result 2024: How to Calculate MAT Score and Percentile?

MAT exam result 2024 and score calculation will be based on marks obtained by every candidate in Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis & Sufficiency and Intelligence & Critical Reasoning. The score of Economic & Business Environment section will not be taken into consideration for MAT percentile calculation. Let’s take a look at MAT marking scheme 2024:

  • Each MAT question will carries one mark.`
  • There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong attempt.
  • There will be no deduction of marks for unanswered questions.
  • MAT composite score will be presented in the range of 199-801.
  • Scores of the four sections will be reported on a scale of 0-100.
  • The MAT Composite Score will be reported on a scale of 199 to 801.

Q:   How will I know about MAT GD/PI schedule?

A:
The MBA institute will send Group Discussion GD and Personal Interview . PI letter to each candidate who had selected the institute in MAT application form upon their selection based on MAT cut offs. The candidate should keep checking their email ID mentioned in MAT application form. The letters/emails have GD/PI dates, time and venue mentioned on it along with other details related to the GD/PI process. If a candidate wishes to apply at college other than the ones they had selected in the MAT form, then they should visit the website of their desired MBA college and check the application schedule. Once they will fill the application form, they will be informed about the GD/PI schedule via email. Candidates must keep handy the MAT admit card, MAT scorecard, academic certificates, passport size colored photographs, original and requisite fee amount for admission on the day of Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

Q:   Does AIMA conduct a counselling process for MBA Admission through MAT?

A:
No. AIMA does not hold common counselling process for MBA Admission through MAT. The role of AIMA is to only conduct the MAT exam and prepare the results. There role in MBA process is only sharing the result/scorecard of candidates with the MAT participating institutes that they have selected in the MAT application form. The participating institutes prepare their own merit list and select candidates for admission basis the result shared by AIMA. The minimum eligibility criteria for shortlisting is passing marks in MAT. However, the selection is based on cut offs fixed by the institutes. The MBA institutes accepting MAT scores inform students about their shortlist status via e-mail when the admission window opens. Candidates who are expecting a call from the institutes they had selected in the MAT application form must keep a check on their email (spam section too) for the interview invitation.

What after MAT Result 2024?

After the declaration of MAT exam result 2024, AIMA will send the scores to colleges that candidate shall have selected in their MAT 2024 application form. Q:   Who decides MAT cut off percentiles for admission?

The participating colleges decide MAT cut off for admission to their MBA/PGDM programmes. Generally, the top MBA colleges' cut off range is around 90-95 percentile. Cut offs of Tier 2 colleges is usually between the range of 80-90 percentile and for Tier 3 it is 50-70 percentile. A:

Admissions to a two-year PGDM course at Jagdish Sheth School of Management (JAGSoM) Bangalore is entrance-based. The institute accepts a valid score of MAT for admission to this course. Candidates can also apply via scores of other national-level entrance exams such as CAT, XAT and CMAT. Those who qualify for MAT can submit their scores at the time of filling the admission form. It is difficult to get admission into ASM's Institute of Business Management and Research without giving MAT.

Only those applicants who have successfully completed a bachelor's degree from an accredited university with at least a 50% grade point average and who also possess a current CAT, MAT, ATMA, XAT, CMAT, or HMBA CET score are eligible for admission to the Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) programme. Similar to this, the selection criteria for MBA courses is a valid score on the CAT, CMAT, or MHMBACET.

However, admission requirements are dynamic so it is advisable to check the latest admission minimum requirement and selection criteria.

Q:   Is MAT required for Sri Balaji University Pune?

A:

Yes, MAT results are accepted for admission to the PGDM programme at BIMM (Balaji Institute of Modern Management) in Pune. However, MAT scores are not required to fill out the admissions form. The total MAT cutoff is the 80th percentile. BIMM accepts CAT, XAT, C-MAT, and MAH-CET scores in addition to MAT. Admission to BIMM Pune requires a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in graduation from any university accredited by the UGC. To be eligible for BIMM Pune, you must have a CMAT score of 60 or more. Admission to the academic year 2023-25 will be based on MAT tests taken between September 2022 and March 2023.
