MICAT Registration 2025 (Phase 2 Started): How to Apply for MICAT II Exam, Fees, Last Date

Yes. Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad, has commenced the MICAT registration in September. Candidates aspiring for MICA PGP admission can apply for MICAT-I exam until November 20. However, the registration window for MICAT II is being facilitated from November 23 to January 17, as per the extended deadline. Candidates can apply for either or both of the MICAT exam phases. MICAT 2024 will aid the PGDM and PGDM-C admissions in MICA for 2024-26 admission batch.

Candidates need to appear for any of the national level the exams, among CAT, XAT or GMAT to participate in the MICA PGDM selection process. Admissions to MICA PGDM is based on shortlists prepared considering the MICAT scores, national level exam scores, GE and PI scores. Candidates filling the MICAT application form have to enter the scores of national level exam. However, if they are yet to appear for the exams, they can add the exam scores later. MICA provides the facility to add exam scores at later stage of the registration process.

MICAT exam is conducted for admission to PGDM, and PGDMC. Candidates who have completed a bachelor's degree programme in 10+2+3 system are eligible to apply for MICAT. The bachelor's level qualification must be completed in any stream/discipline that is recognised by Association of Indian Universities (AIU).  Candidates appearing for final year exam for the Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) are also eligible to apply.

Additionally, candidates must apply and appear for any of the following entrance exams to be eliigble for PGDM/PGDMC admissions to MICA:

• CAT 2023
• XAT 2024
• GMAT (2022 onwards)

Candidates aspiring for MICAT exam have to fill and submit the registration form before a specified deadline. MICAT registration deadline for both exam phases will vary. Based on the trends, MICAT exam registration for first exam phase ends in the third week of November. Whereas, MICAT registration for the second exam phase concludes in the third week of January.

MICAT 2024 registration for first exam phase will conclude on November 20. While the MICAT registration for second exam phase will conclude on January 16.

Exact dates to apply for MICAT exam changes across admission sessions. The exam date and application schedule is published over the official website with the exam details. Candidates must keep track of the MICAT exam dates and registration schedule to avoid missing any deadline during the examination process.

Candidates may come across situations when they make mistakes while filling the application form. MICA does not allow duplicate form submission by the candidates. However, candidates may use a different mobile number and email ID to complete the MICAT registration with correct details. Facility foir application form correct is not provided during the MICAT application process. Candidates applying again with the same details may get their candidature rejected.

Since there is no form correction facility, candidates must re check all the details before final submission of the MICAT application form.

MICAT registration for second phase exam commences immediately after the first phase registration concludes. The deadline to apply for MICAT II, typically lies in the third week of January. Following the trends from the past session, MICAT II registration is scheduled to commence from November 23. Candidates will be able to apply for MICAT II until January 16. MICAT registration typically starts in the month of October. If the previous year's schedule trends were to be followed, MICAT application process was commence in the first week of October. However, MICA has released the MICAT 2024 registration in the month of September itself. Candidates are allowed to apply for MICAT-1 until November 2024. Candidates aspiring for admission to MICA PGP courses must abide by the MICAT registration deadline. MICA will not entertain any requests to extend the MICAT application deadline.

Candidates are also allowed to apply for either of the exam phases. MICA shortlists candidates based on the best of two scores in the MICAT exam phases.  Candidates who do not take both the phases are shortlisted based on their MICAT score.

Candidates who did not apply for the first ohase of MICAT can also apply for MICAT-2. The registration process for both MICAT I and MICAT II remains the same. However, candidates who filled the form for MICAT I get a few details filled automatically while applying for MICAT II.

Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad releases the MICAT application form in an online mode. Candidates who wish to apply for the MICAT exam need to apply for the exam online. No other mode is available for the MICAT registration. MICA will not entertain any requests for offline submission of the application form. After submitting the online application form, candidates must take a print out of the MICAT form to retain the same for future references. However, this print-out must not be sent to the official authority. The copy of the filled in form can be used for reference to find any discrepancies in the admit card or MICAT scorecard.

MICAT application process includes online registration, filling up of MICAT application form (by providing certain details) uploading scanned photograph and signature, payment of MICAT application fee followed by printing the MICAT registration form. Candidates have to complete the MICAT registration online on its official website. No other mode is provided to apply for MICAT exam.

Candidates aspiring to appear for both the exam phases of MICAT exam have to apply twice. Additionally, the application fee for the MICAT exam phases will be charged twice.

Appearing for CAT/XAT/GMAT, is a prerequisite to appear for the MICAT exam. Therefore, candidates who applied and appeared for CAT, XAT or GMAT are also required to apply for MICAT and appear for the exam. Submission of the application form for MICAT requires the candidates to pay the registration fee.

Scores in CAT/XAT/GMAT are considered during the selection process. Besides the score in the national level exams, MICAT scores also play a part while shortlisting candidates for admission. Therefore, appearing for MICAT or any national level exam is not an optional stage in the selection process.

Candidates filling the application form for MICAT exam have to pay INR 2,100 as the application fee. MICAT registration fee or application fee remains the same for all the candidates, irrespective of their category. Candidates appearing for both MICAT I and MICAT II hjave to pay the application fee for both the exam phases separately. No concession in the MICAT application fee is given to the candidates applying for both exam phases.

No. All candidates have to pay the MICAT application fee in an online mode only. The gatway for MICAT form fee payment can be chosen while paymentg of the application fee. Candidates can use internet banking/credit card/debit card/UPI to pay the MICAT application fee. The authorities will not entertain any requests for offline fee payment. If the candidates face any problems paying the application fee, they must contact the authorities immediately. Failure to pay the application fee before the deadline will lead to the disqualification of the candidature from the MICAT examination process.
