TANCET colleges or the TANCET participating institutes refer to the colleges situated in Tamil Nadu that accept the TANCET exam score for admission. The admission based on TANCET 2024 is done in the professional postgraduate programmes. TANCET is a state-level entrance exam conducted by Anna University, on behalf of the Government of Tamil Nadu. The exam acts as a gateway for admission to professional PG courses, including MBA and MCA Admission to Engineering courses, including ME/ MTech/ MPlan/ MArch, is based on CEETA PG. Candidates appearing for the exam can expect the release of the TANCET result in the month of April.

TANCET Selection Process
The admission process into PG professional courses in Tamil Nadu is based on TANCET scores. As a part of the TANCET selection process, candidates need to appear for the exam followed by checking results and downloading scorecards. Further, a counselling process is conducted for the admission of qualified candidates. There is a centralised counselling process for MBA and MCA courses. Space below mentions the TANCET selection process:
TANCET exam: Candidates who would successfully register for the exam will have to appear for the entrance exam on the scheduled date. TANCET MBA question paper will be divided into five parts —Business Situations, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Ability, Data Sufficiency and English Usage. TANCET MCA question paper comprises four sections — Quantitative Aptitude, Analytical Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, Computer Awareness. The question paper for ME/ MTech / MArch/ MPlan will have two parts in common, Part I (Engineering Mathematics) and Part II (Basic Engineering and Sciences), while Part III will be different for each discipline.
TANCET result: TANCET Result will be declared in the second week of March. Candidates can check their results and download their scorecards from the official website by logging in with their email ID and password. TANCET 2024 scorecard displays the name of the candidate, application number, nationality, category, and overall score. The normalisation of marks is done for ME/ MTech/ MArch / MPlan programmes only. The rank list will be prepared based on the normalised marks of the candidate.
TANCET counselling: Qualified candidates will be called for the counselling rounds based on their score and rank. To participate in the TANCET Counselling, candidates will be required to register on Anna University’s website. Admission will be offered depending upon the seats available based on the merit of the candidates who attend counselling as per the reservation norms of the Government of Tamil Nadu.
