TANCET 2023 Marking Scheme
Take a look at the marking scheme of TANCET for ME/M.Tech/M.Arch/M.Plan.
- For each correct answer in all the three parts, candidates will score 1 mark
- For the wrong answer, 1/3 mark will be deducted
- Selecting multiple options will be considered as a wrong answer and 1/3 marks of candidates will be deducted.
Normalisation of marks for ME/ MTech / MArch/ MPlan
The question paper for ME/ MTech / MArch/ MPlan will have two parts in common, Part I (Engineering Mathematics) and Part II (Basic Engineering and Sciences), while Part III will be different for each discipline. During the evaluation of answer sheets, the mean marks and standard deviation of raw marks will vary from discipline to discipline in Part III. To bring uniformity in variations, the marks of candidates are normalized. The formula for calculating the normalized marks is given below. Formula for normalisation of marks

Accordingly, the relative ranking of candidates will be determined for any discipline.
