Selection Process for TISS campuses
TISS, Mumbai restructured the admission process the previous year, which was completed in online mode only. The varsity has cancelled the Pre-Interview Test round and conducted online interviews for the final selection of candidates. Check the revised TISSNET selection process below on the basis of which admission process was conducted.

1. Online Assessments (OA)
The online assessments will be conducted for a duration of 20-30 minutes by three-member panels. This will assess the candidate's interest in the selected programme. The OA will be divided into two components:
a. Exptempore reflection on a given topic
Candidates will be asked to present a reflection on the topic that will be given by the panel member. The topic will be relevant to the programme of study. The presentation has to be for 2-3 minutes. Candidates can also ask for a second topic in case they will be not comfortable with the first topic. Candidates must note that third chance to change the topic will not be give.Â
b. Online Personal Interview (OPI)
In this section, the panel members will interact with the candidates to assess the candidate's motivation, preparedness, interest and subject knowledge. In OPI candidate's understanding of social, and economic factors will also be assessed.Â
2. Final Selection
On the basis of assessments, candidates will be given final weightage based on which qualified students will be offered admission. Earlier the score of TISSNET, TISSMAT, and Personal Interview round were to be equated to 30:40:30. However, due to the ongoing current situation of COVID-19 the revised TISSNET selection process 2021has been announced. Candidates can check the weightage for each component in the table below:

Shortlisting for Stage 2 and Final Selection
- Candidates appearing for the TISSNET 2023 exam must note that no seperate intimation will be sent to the shortlisted candidates for stage 2. The status will be available on the candidate login page.
- Candidates must check their result periodically to get the information about shortlisting and further admission process.Â
- All the admission information such as merit list, waiting list, not selected will be displayed on the login page.Â

TISS Admission: Seat Allotment
After the OPI round, a programme-wise merit list will be prepared based on the following.
- Candidate’s aggregate score
- Candidate’s preference of programmes as given in the application form
The merit list will be put up on the TISS website. Each candidate will be able to view the scorecard indicating the score received in each of the components (TISSNET, TISSMAT, and PI) Based on this list, candidates will be offered admissions in various specialisations in M.A. courses offered at TISS. The scorecards will also be issued to the candidates indicating the marks of the candidates for each exam phase.
How to Check TISS MBA Final Result
Candidates can check the TISSNET MBA 2022 final merit list by following the steps mentioned below.
- Visit the official website of TISS Mumbai or copy the link- tiss.edu
- Enter login credentials
- The screen will display the list of shortlisted candidates under various categories
- Candidates can check if they are shortlisted by pressing 'ctrl+F'
- Type the registration number
TISSNET Selection Process: Rules of Waitlist Preparation
- Candidates who get admission to the programme of their first preference will not be on wait-lists for any other programme mentioned in their list of preferences.
- Candidates, who receive admission in a programme lower in their order of preferences, will be retained in the wait-list of a preference higher in the order, till the seats in that programme are filled.
- When a candidate who has already taken admission in a programme as per the first merit list is subsequently offered a higher preference when the waitlist is activated, such candidate will be moved into the programme of higher preference and they will have no claim for the lower preference. In such cases, no requests for retaining the admission in the lower preference will be entertained.

Document verification and fee payment
All the qualified candidates will be required to upload relevant documents on TISS website and pay the admission fee. The subsequent events include a medical checkup, physical verification of documents, and confirmation of admission at the respective campuses.
