As part of the Nurses Awareness Week celebration, the Nurses’ department of All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), New Delhi, has staged three role plays to create awareness about saving the girl child.

AIIA tweet reads, "A world without girls is no world at all! To create awareness on saving the girl child, the Nurses’ department of AIIA staged three role plays today as part of Nurses Awareness Week celebration."

The first play highlighted female foeticide, a practice that is banned in the country but still carried out illegally. The second play showed a family where a girl child was being discriminated by her brother and was not treated equally in her house. While the third play demonstrated the importance of educating a girl child.

The international nurses day is on May 12, 2022, and AIIA is organising the Nurses Awareness Week which includes patient awareness program, skill enhancement program, cultural activities, etc.
