AIIMS BSc Optometry student death: Students on street asking donations for building hostels

The Optometry students of AIIMS have been protesting for justice for Abhishek Malviya, a first-year student of AIIMS BSc Optometry who allegedly died due to negligence of the hospital authorities.

After the unfortunate death of Abhishek Malviya, a first-year student of AIIMS BSc Optometry, the Optometry Students Association (OSA) is demanding hostel facilities for each student of AIIMS. 

The AIIMS Optometry students are protesting on the streets and asking people to donate so that they can collect funds to build AIIMS hostels.

Harjit Singh Bhatti, the President, Azad Samaj Party (Punjab) Former President, RDA AIIMS, New Delhi | National President, Progressive Medicos & Scientists Forum (PMSF), tweeted, "AIIMS students are asking for donations on the streets because the director says that there is no money to build hostels. What will you give?"

The medical associations including RDA AIIMS Delhi and FAIMA Doctors Association have supported the demands of the Optometry students to ensure hostel facilities for each student.
