Students failing in any of three compulsory subjects such as Mathematics, Science, Social Science in CBSE Class Exam 2024 now have the option to replace it with “Skill Subject”.
CBSE Result 2024 Class 10: While the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is prepping to announce CBSE Class 10 Result 2024, the Board has released new policy for the students struggling to qualify CBSE Compulsory subjects such as Mathematics, Science, Social Science. Students failing in any of these three compulsory subjects in CBSE Class Exam 2024 now have the option to replace it with “Skill Subject”.

Failed in Compulsory subject, replace it with Skill Subject
The recently released CBSE Secondary Curriculum 2024-25 reads, "If a student fails in any one of the three compulsory subjects, (i.e. Science, Mathematics and Social Science) and passes in the Skill Subject (offered as sixth optional subject), then that subject will be replaced by the Skill subject and the result of Class X Board examination will be computed accordingly.”
Language subject to be substituted by sixth subject!
All students must have studies three language subjects until Class 8. Students unable to clear third language subject by the end of Class 9 may get another opportunity in CBSE Class 10.
Students failing to qualify the language subject listed in the five compulsory subjects must note, "If a student fails in any language subject, out of the first five subjects, the same will be replaced by the language taken as sixth subject (in case of no serious skills subjects offered) or as seventh subject (optional), provided that he or she has passed this language and after replacement, either Hindi or English remains as a passed language in the first five subjects", states the new curriculum.
Meanwhile, the Board has exempted Children with special needs (CWSN) from the study of the third language.

CBSE Class 10 Result Date 2024 Update!
While the Board has not released official CBSE 10th Result 2024 Date, students awaiting Class 10 board result must note that the CBSE result 2024 will be out on the official website, i.e. cbse.gov.in. Class 10 CBSE Result 2024 is expected by the end of April. Students can check their CBSE 10th Result 2024 by entering their date of birth and exam roll number on the result login window and download their CBSE Class 10 marksheet 2024. The Class 10 CBSE Marksheet 2024 released online is provisional in nature. Students are advised to collect their original CBSE Class 10 Marksheet 2024 from their respective schools.
