CBSE 10th and 12th Board Exams 2025 to Begin on February 15, 2025. Check out some important changes introduced by the Board in CBSE Answer Sheet 2025 Class 10, 12 to combat cheating and prevent unfair practices.
CBSE Board Exam 2025: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is all set to kick off the CBSE 10th Board Exam 2025 and CBSE 12th Board Exam 2025 from February 15, 2025. As students gear up for the crucial exams, the CBSE has introduced significant changes in the CBSE Answer Sheet 2025 to ensure fairness and minimize the chances of cheating and other unfair practices. All students appearing for the exams must be aware of these critical changes to avoid any confusion and ensure a smooth examination process.
Key Changes in CBSE Answer Sheet 2025 to Combat Cheating
In a bid to make the CBSE Board Exam 2025 more transparent and reduce the possibility of malpractices, the Board has implemented a set of key modifications in the answer sheets. These changes aim to enhance exam security and create a more streamlined process for students and examiners alike. Here's a look at the major changes:
- Introduction of Unique QR Codes in CBSE Answer Sheets To combat cheating, the CBSE has decided to incorporate unique QR codes in each student's answer sheet. This will help in tracking and verifying the authenticity of the papers and further discourage any unfair practices during the exam.
- Instructions on Question Number Placement A significant change is the directive for students to write the question numbers only in the margin of the answer sheet. Question numbers should not be written in any other space on the sheet, including the center. This measure ensures a clear and uniform format for all answer sheets.
- No Marking or Writing on the Question Paper The Board has made it clear that students must not mark or write anything on the question paper. All rough work should be done in the margins on the right-hand side of the page. Any rough work done in other parts of the answer sheet or question paper will not be evaluated.
- New Guidelines for Rough Work The new instruction specifies that rough work should only be written in the margin on the right-hand side of the page. After completing the rough work, students are instructed to cross it out. This replaces the previous guideline of drawing an appropriate margin for rough work, ensuring that the answer sheets remain clean and organized.
- Strict Action Against Unfair Practices CBSE has warned students that unfair practices (UFM) will not be tolerated. Students found guilty of cheating, using electronic devices, or engaging in any other form of malpractices will face severe consequences. As per the official notice, students caught engaging in unfair means will have their exams cancelled immediately and will be barred from appearing for CBSE exams for the next two years.
CBSE Date Sheet 2025: Details and Information
The CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2025 and CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2025 are set to begin on February 15, 2025, with exams for nearly 44 lakh students being conducted across 204 subjects. The exams will be held in a single shift and are expected to run smoothly with these newly introduced guidelines. According to CBSE 10th Date Sheet 2025, Class 10 CBSE Exams will be conducted from February 15, to March 18. CBSE Class 12 Exam 2025 will be conducted from February 15 to April 4.
The CBSE aims to maintain the highest standards of examination integrity and transparency, ensuring that students have a fair opportunity to showcase their knowledge and skills.
Exam Centres Equipped with Surveillance for Strict Monitoring
In a further move to ensure exam integrity, CBSE has equipped exam centres with CCTV cameras, and a live streaming system will be used to monitor activities at selected locations. These measures are part of CBSE’s broader effort to reduce malpractices and maintain the credibility of the examination process.

With the CBSE 10th and 12th Board Exams around the corner, it is essential for students to familiarize themselves with these new changes in the CBSE Answer Sheet 2025 and ensure compliance with the guidelines.
