CBSE has released an official notification saying 50% weightage is not fixed for Term 1, the board will decide term 1 and term 2 weightage after conducting the final exam.
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared CBSE Class 10 Term 1 Result 2022 in offline mode on March 11, 2022. The board has sent CBSE class 10 term 1 result 2022 on respective Email IDs of the schools and the students can collect the mark sheets from their schools. Ever since the result is declared, a lot of concern has been rising among the students and schools. Hence, to consider the concerns of students and schools, CBSE has released a notification stating what criteria the board has considered while preparing the term 1 result.

In the released notification, the board has also clarified that the final result will be decided only after conducting the term 2 exams. The board had earlier released a notice according to which CBSE said to give 50% weightage to both term 1 and term 2 exam results. However, now the board says, “To address the difficulty level between the two sets of Question Papers in Term-I examinations, needful action will be taken at the time of preparation of the final result. The weightage of Term-I and Term-II will be decided at the time of declaration of Term-II result and accordingly, the final performance will be calculated.”

As per the board, the Term 1 result does not is not including pass or fail status, it only released the marks sheet that includes marks obtained by the students in each subject. After the term 2 exams, the board will prepare the final result that will provide students status of pass/compartment/repeat. The notification also says that the board has considered the discrepancies and problems raised by the students while preparing the term 1 result. As per the released notification, the board will conduct a compartment exam based on the term 2 exam syllabus.
The board has also clarified that if any student could not appear for the term 1 exam, they will be evaluated for their score in the term 2 exams. CBSE is all set to conduct class 10 and 12 exams from April 26.
