The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released official dates for the CBSE 10th 12th Practical Exam 2025 in winter-bound schools. The board has also released important instructions to be followed while conducting the exams.

CBSE Practical Exam Dates 2025: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the official dates for CBSE Practical Exams and internal assessments for Classes 10, 12. It must be noted that CBSE 10th 12th Practical Exam 2025 Dates are out for winter-bound schools. According to the official notice, CBSE Practical Exams 2025 and internal assessments for Class 10, 12 of winter bound schools will be conducted from November 5 to December 5. CBSE winter-bound schools remain closed in January 2025. Meanwhile, CBSE 10th 12th internal exams 2025 for all other schools will be held from January 1, 2025.
The official notice released by CBSE reads, “As per provisions of Examination Bye-Laws/Scheme of Studies of the Board, the Practical Examinations/Project/Internal Assessment for the session 2024-25 are scheduled from 1 January 2025 for all affiliated schools in India and abroad. However, the winter bound schools are expected to remain closed during January due to the winter season. Accordingly, the Practical Examinations/Project/Internal Assessment for the session 2024-25 for classes X and XII for winter-bound schools will be conducted from 5 November 2024 (Tuesday) to 5 December 2024 (Thursday).”
CBSE 10th 12th Practical Exam 2025 Important Instructions & SOPs
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and guidelines for schools to follow during practical examinations for the 2025 academic year. These guidelines cover various aspects, including the uploading of marks, appointment of external examiners, and procedures for handling unfair means and answer books for practicals.
CBSE Practical Exam 2025: Key Instructions for Winter-Bound Schools
To ensure the timely completion of Class 10, 12 CBSE practical exams, the Board has outlined specific actions for schools operating under the winter session. Schools are required to:
- Finalize Candidate Lists: Prepare a final list of candidates and ensure that only students whose names have been submitted in the online List of Candidates (LOC) are allowed to participate in practical exams, projects, or internal assessments.
- External Examiner Appointments: Contact the regional office to arrange for the appointment of external examiners and observers.
- Timely Dispatch of Answer Books: Ensure that practical exam answer books are completed and dispatched to the regional offices on time.
CBSE clarified that these instructions pertain specifically to winter-bound schools and do not apply to regular session schools. A separate notification will be issued for those institutions.
