CBSE Board Exam 2025: Major Changes announced by the Board
Reduction in Long and Short Response Questions
In an effort to better assess students' knowledge, CBSE has reduced the number of short-answer and long-answer questions for both Class 10 and Class 12 exams. This change aims to test students' understanding of concepts in a more comprehensive manner rather than focusing on rote memorization.
Emphasis on Competency-Based Questions
For 2025, CBSE is placing a stronger focus on competency-based questions, which are designed to assess how well students can apply their academic knowledge to real-life situations. These questions will form a significant portion of the CBSE Class 12 exams 2025, so students need to be well-prepared to demonstrate practical application in addition to theoretical understanding.
Greater Focus on Internal Assessment
The weightage of internal assessments has been increased to 40% of the total marks for both CBSE Class 10 and Class 12. This change emphasizes continuous evaluation through projects, assignments, and tests conducted throughout the year. The remaining 60% will come from the final board exams.
75% Attendance Requirement for CBSE 2025 Board Exams
To be eligible for the 2025 CBSE board exams, students must have at least 75% attendance throughout the academic year. Those who fail to meet this requirement will not be allowed to sit for the exams, making regular attendance crucial for exam eligibility.
Special Arrangements for Olympiad Participants and Athletes
CBSE has introduced provisions for students who are also involved in national or international sports events or Olympiads. If a student's exam schedule overlaps with such events, they will be allowed to take the exams at a later date. This flexibility ensures that students do not have to choose between academics and their extracurricular pursuits.
Q: ย Where can I find CBSE 10th official answer key?
The CBSE official answer key 2024 will be made available in online mode on the official website, however, there is a very less possibility as the exams are subjective in nature.
Q: ย What is the official website to check CBSE Class 12 Answer Key?
If released, students can check the CBSE Class 12 Answer Key at cbseacademic.nic.in or cbse.nic.in.
Q: ย Can I apply for correction in CBSE 12th answer key in case I find an error?
Yes, the board releases the CBSE answer key Class 12 for all students to download and calculate their probable score. In case of an error, students can apply for correction of the answer key before the last date. CBSE will release the dates for raising objections against the answer keys on the official website. No application will be entertained after that.
Enhanced Security Measures for CBSE 2025 Examinations
For the 2025 exams, CBSE is implementing stronger security measures to ensure the integrity of the examination process. These include biometric authentication, digital fingerprinting, photo capturing, and face matching for all candidates. These measures are aimed at preventing cheating and impersonation, thereby maintaining a fair examination environment.
New Sub-Regional Office to Boost Learning Infrastructure
To further improve the quality of education in the region, CBSE will be opening a sub-regional office in Agartala. This office will help strengthen infrastructure and support both students and teachers in improving learning outcomes across the state.
As the 2025 CBSE board exams draw closer, students should stay focused on preparing for the changes introduced in the exam format. The increased weightage of competency-based questions, changes in the internal assessment system, and mandatory attendance are all important factors to keep in mind during preparations. Additionally, the introduction of special provisions for athletes and enhanced security protocols will help ensure a smooth examination process for all students.
