GSEB SSC, HSC Exam 2024 Major Changes: 50% MCQ retained; Objective-type-ques increase by 10%

The education government of Gujarat has announced some major changes in GSEB Class 10, 12 Board Exams 2024. Read further to know what are some of the major changes introduced for GSEB Class 10 Board Exams 2024 and GSEB Class 12 Board Exams 2024. 

GSEB Board Exams 2024 Class 10, 12: The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board has announced some major changes in GSEB Class 10, 12 Board Exams 2024. After conducting a meeting with education minister Kuber Dindor among other senior officials, chaired by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, the state government released the changes in Class 10 and 12 stare board exams academic session 2023-24.

GSEB 10th, 12th Board Exam Pattern 2024 Change

The education department has announced changes in Gujarat Board Exam 2024 Pattern in line with the National Education Policy 2020. One of the major modifications that the Gujarat board has included is the increase in objective type questions. The Gujarat Board Class 10,12 Exam 2024 will have an increase of 10 per cent, i.e. from 20 to 30 per cent- in objective questions and in descriptive questions, the weightage being declined from 30 to 20 per cent.

All supplementary exams to improve GSEB SSC, HSC Result 2024 for Class 12 science students

The list of changes also includes allowance to Class HSC science students of Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) can take one or all supplementary exams in June-July to improve their results. The best of two will be considered to compile GSEB Class 12 Board Exam Result 2024 Science Stream, the state government stated.

GSEB Class 10 Students can appear in supply exams for 3 subjects

The Board will also give GSEB Class 10 students to appear for supplementary exams in three subjects. This was previously for two subjects. Similarly, for Class 12 general stream students, they can appear in supplementary exams for two subjects instead of one.

50% MCQ retained

In Class 12 science stream, the 50 per cent MCQ have been retained. Though there has been a change announced in the remaining 50 per cent descriptive questions. Instead of internal options within questions, students will be given general options from within the question paper.
