NBSE Class 12 Mid-term Exams 2023 postponed amid eye-flu spread
NBSE HSSLC Class 12 Mid-term Exams Postponed: The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has rescheduled the NBSE Class 12 mid-term exams 2023. According to the official schedule, Board has directed schools which could not conduct the HSSLC Class 12 mid-term exams 2023 to conduct the exams by September 20. It has further asked the authorities to submit the results to the board before September 30.
Amid the severe spread of eye flu, various schools ordered closure to contain the transmission of eye flu among students. The Class 12 mid-term exams were scheduled to be held from August 21 and August 30. Considering the closure of the schools, the decision on rescheduling has been taken.
Announcing the postponement of exams, the Board said, “In continuation of the advisory given, vide even number, dated 19.08.2023 and in view of the surge in Eye Flu or Conjunctivitis among school students in certain districts of the State, the concerned District Administration have ordered the closure of schools from 2lst August 2023 to 26th August 2023 as a measure to contain or break the chain of transmission of the flu.”
“Consequently, the conduct of the Mid Term Examination for Class XII scheduled from 2l't August 2023 to 30th August 2023 in certain districts is not feasible due to the closure of schools. Therefore, those schools who could not conduct the Mid Term Examination within the date given in the Academic Calendar are hereby allowed to reschedule the Class XII Mid Term Examination and conduct it within the 20th of September 2023 and the results of which can be submitted to the Board on or before 30th September 2023,” it further added.
