NIOS ODE 2020: NIOS to conduct On-demand exams for students who want to improve their average score

Students can apply for the same through the student dashboard on sdmis.nioc.ac.in from September 25, 2020.

National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) released an official notification regarding the NIOS On-Demand exam date. According to the notification, NIOS 10th and NIOS 12th students who wish to improve their average marks awarded in March-April 2020 can also appear for this NIOS On-Demand Examination 2020. Interested students must note that this exam is optional for them and will be organized for the theory part only. The official reports also suggest that students can choose NIOS On Demand exam dates 2020 as per their convenience among the given dates. The exams will commence from October 5, 2020.

NIOS On-Demand Examination 2020 are for those students who are not satisfied with average marks and interested in improving their marks can book a seat. They can apply for the same through the student dashboard on sdmis.nioc.ac.in from September 25, 2020. The notification released by NIOS also says, “It is further to bring to your notice that those learners who were registered to appear in the public examination for improvement or Stream-2 cases declared as Not computable cases in March /April 2020 Public Examination are exempted from paying the examination fee for booking seat in the said On-Demand Examination. However, all others will have to pay the requisite fee online through their dashboard. No enquiries in this regard will be entertained.”

NIOS On-Demand Exams 2020: Answers to some Important FQAs

1. Where will the NIOS On Demand Exam (ODEs) 2020 be held?

NIOS ODEs 2020 will be conducted at the examination centre of the regional centre which is selected by a student while booking a seat for the examination.

2. What if I score less marks in the On-Demand Exam?
In case any student appearing for the NIOS On-Demand exam to improve his/her marks, scores less or more marks in the exam as compared to the average computed marks, then, the marks obtained by students in On-Demand Exam will be treated as final marks and their average marks will be these marks.

3. Can I appear for ODEs for practical marks improvement?
No, NIOS ODEs will be conducted for theory part marks improvement only.
