UP Board 10th, 12th exams 2022: Around 8 lakh students dropout from UP Board exams in 4 days

The UP Board exams for classes 10 and 12 are currently underway. They are scheduled from March 24 to April 12, 2022.

UP Board 10th, 12th exams 2022: The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) is currently conducting the UP Board 10th, 12th exams 2022. They have been scheduled from March 24 to April 12, 2022. On March 28, as many as 2.9 lakh class 10 and 12 students skipped their exams. Class 10 and 12 students had Computer and Geography exams respectively. According to official sources, the 7.8 lakh figure surpasses the total dropouts recorded in 2020 (4.8 lakh) and 2019 (6.5 lakh).
the number of students skipping the exam so far is the highest in almost a decade.

The state board witnessed more than 70,200 students not attending their languages paper which was conducted on March 26. The languages include Urdu, Tamil, Bengali, Assamese, Gujarati, Punjabi, Nepali, etc. The high numbers have now forced officials to probe the reasons for dropouts.

As many as 51,92,689 students have registered for the UP Board exams. A total of 8,373 exam centres have been made across the state for the examinations. Of these 6,398 centres are in rural areas and 1,975 are located in the urban areas. A total of 27,81,654 students have registered for Class 10 exams this year, of which 12,28,456 are female students and 15,53,198 are boys. Likewise, a total of 24,11,035 students have registered for Class 12 this year, of which 10,86,835 are female and 13,24,200 are male students.
