IIM Kozhikode welcomes largest ever executive-MBA batch with 172 participants
The current EPGP batch with 172 participants is the largest executive-MBA batch till date at campus. The batch also consists 4 international participants from USA, UAE, Saudi Arabia and Singapore while female candidates account for 20% of the batch.
Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode conducted the induction ceremony of the Executive Post Graduate Programme (EPGP) in Management, for the year 2022 – 2024 for working executives. The ceremony was conducted via virtual mode. The business recorded a 36% rise in enrolments in its executive post graduate programme (EPGP) in management this year, according to the official statement.
The current EPGP batch with 172 participants is the largest executive-MBA batch till date at campus. The batch also consists 4 international participants from USA, UAE, Saudi Arabia and Singapore while female candidates account for 20% of the batch.
In order to allow participants outside Kerala, IIMK Kochi has decided to have one weekend cohort in physical mode, and two weekday cohorts in online mode. IT/ITES, manufacturing, government and PSUs, BFSI and consulting, sales and marketing, entrepreneurs sectors/areas make up for the bulk of this cohort which has representations from companies like – Microsoft, Amazon, Cognizant, Reliance Communications, IBM, TCS, Boeing, American Express, Tech Mahindra, Deloitte, Samsung, Tech Mahindra, Adobe, Capgemini, Bosch, Apollo Tyres, among others.
The Induction ceremony for the 10th batch of IIM Kozhikode’s EPGP courses for working executives was conducted. The chief guest for the event was the former union minister of state for culture, and tourism, former civil servant and supreme court advocate Alphons Joseph Kannanthanam.
In addition to this, IIM Kozhikode director Debashis Chatterjee, presided over the ceremony with the deans, chairpersons, faculty, staff and the newly inducted students in attendance. While speaking at the induction ceremony, IIMK director, Debashis Chatterjee congratulated the participants for making it through the tough selection processes, and also lauded the diversity in the batch that saw a confluence of participants from 22 states and over 20% females.
"What makes it possible for our managers to do so well? It is the deep orientation to values in India; wealth creation is sacred and legitimate here. A way to express Indian soft power is to provide a management education that is rooted deeply in not just the symbolism, but the actuality of what it means to be an Indian," he added.
