IIM Lucknow Hosts Annual International Research Conference and Doctoral Workshop 2023

The Annual International Research Conference (AIRC) and Doctoral Workshop 2023 hosted by IIM Lucknow spanned three days. Engaging scholars from Australia, Norway, the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, and Vietnam, the conference saw active participation from diverse global research communities.

The Indian Institute of Management Lucknow concluded the Annual International Research Conference (AIRC) & Doctoral Workshop, held from December 15 to 17, 2023. With enthusiastic participation from research scholars spanning Australia, Norway, the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, and across India, this event facilitated the exchange of thought-provoking ideas and discussions on multifaceted business functions and management domains. Attended by over 75 academics, it was a forum teeming with diverse perspectives and insightful dialogues.

Centered around the theme 'Transforming Business and Management in the Digital Age,' the conference fostered discussions on cutting-edge business strategies. With ten technical sessions focusing on pertinent subjects, it offered participants valuable insights into the continuously shifting business landscapes. These sessions delved into various domains including Human Resource Management, Financial Management, Marketing Management, Information Technology, Decision Sciences, and Economics, examining them through a contemporary and forward-looking perspective.

The conference served as a collaborative platform to spotlight research priorities, propose pragmatic solutions, and foster increased interaction between scholars and industry stakeholders. Functioning as a conduit between theoretical studies and the ever-evolving business realm, it tackled the dynamic challenges prevalent in today's corporate environment.

This year, the conference received submission of over 100 research papers from participants, fostering a vibrant exchange of ideas. The aim was to assist attendees in identifying compelling and relevant research challenges. Given the global interest in management and policy dynamics, there's a growing need to analyse trends both nationally and globally. IIM Lucknow hosts this annual gathering to contribute to comprehending efficient corporate practices and societal welfare, which are pivotal for holistic economic advancement.

During the inaugural address, Prof. Archana Shukla, Director, IIM Lucknow, laid the foundation for insightful discussions and paved the way for an exceptional exchange of ideas. She said, “Learning has no shortcuts in today’s world which is why it is important to have rigour in one’s methodology and processes when it comes to research. There is no fast-track way to becoming a researcher and one needs to invest time and practice self-discipline.”
