IIM Raipur conducts training programme for Vidhan Sabha secretariat staff

The initiative is taken to make its contribution towards the promotion of excellence and capacity building of existing and future leaders. The institute conducted a three-day training programme from July 18 to 20 for the Vidhan Sabha secretariat staff who came from different states of India.

Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur has collaborated with PRS Legislative Research to organise a training programme for Vidhan Sabha secretariat staff from different states of India. The three-day training programme covered time and team management, the state budget, best practices of state legislators and effective support to legislators.

The initiative is taken to make its contribution towards the promotion of excellence and capacity building of existing and future leaders. The institute conducted a three-day training programme from July 18 to 20 for the Vidhan Sabha secretariat staff who came from different states of India.

As many as 26 participants have attended the programme from across the states of Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Gujarat, Nagaland, Sikkim, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh in the fourth batch of the training programme.

During the ceremony, IIM Raipur director Professor Ram Kumar Kakani shared his insights and programme vision. Programme director Professor Rashmi Shukla took sessions on time management, and team building among other sessions.

Chakshu Roy and his team from PRS took sessions on understanding the Budget, Effective support to legislators and best practices of state legislators, among other sessions. Professor Kamal K Jain, Mentor Dean shared his valuable insights during the program valedictory. Participants find the programme very interactive and useful to exchange notes building a community that could learn from each other even in the future.
