IIM Shillong hosts faculty development programme in GM & research methodology
The FDP will aim to train the trainers by providing them with the skills required to teach and disseminate knowledge that will contribute to the growth of the North East region and the country.
The FDP will aim to train the trainers by providing them with the skills required to teach and disseminate knowledge which will contribute to the growth of the North East region and the country, according to the official statement.
While speaking about the event, IIM Shillong director DP Goyal said, “As a faculty member, one must have two responsibilities: to be a good teacher and to be a good researcher. The responsibility of a teacher (is) to cater to the learning needs of all students, including slow learners, and the importance of evaluating oneself to create a fair and transparent evaluation process for students.”
As per the official notification, individuals participating in FDP will learn how to design a curriculum and make a pedagogy of teaching. Overall 30 faculties from numerous institutions like IIMC, Aizawl, Tripura Institute of Paramedical Science, Manipur University of Culture, Cotton University, Guwahati, Centre for Community Medicine, AIIMS Delhi, NEHU, Assam University will participate in the FDP.
