NITIE Mumbai launches online certification course on ‘Social Network Analysis & its application’

Applicants must note that the course will commence on January 12, 2022, and conclude on March 2, 2022. It will be a 30-hour course divided into 10 sessions (3 Hours/Session).

NITIE Mumbai has introduced a Global Online Certification Course on ‘Social Network Analysis and its application’ in association with Professor Noshir Contractor. Candidates enrolled under this course will get a set of strategic principles and analytic strategies to create, maintain and dissolve network ties. These principles vary depending on one’s desire to explore innovations, engage in entrepreneurship/finance/marketing, exploit existing resources, implement change, or mobilize for strategic partnerships, the institute said.

“The course will identify the optimal principles in these diverse contexts using a set of review articles, case studies, as well as computer-based visual-analytic demonstrations,” the institute added. The institute in its course brochure further added, “It examines how we create social, economic, and technological networks, and how these networks enable and constrain our attitudes and behavior.”

Talking about the objectives of the course, the institute said, it enables computation and interpretation of metrics that describe individual nodes in a network and characterize various qualities of the network as a whole. The objective is also to compute and interpret partitioning networks into communities based on different criteria.

Applicants must note that the course will commence on January 12, 2022, and conclude on March 2, 2022. It will be a 30-hour course divided into 10 sessions (3 Hours/Session). The sessions will be conducted Live via online WebEx platform on Wednesdays from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM IST.

Upon succesful completion of the course, all registered participants will receive a certificate of completion from NITIE signed jointly by Professor Noshir Contractor and Professor Manoj K Tiwari.
